Canelo vs Cotto is not official, May 2nd is not taken. Use your brain for a change.

If you believe Floyd is ducking Pac, you have plenty of reasons to. But May 2nd is not one of those reasons.

Considering that Floyd shut JMM out and JMM knocked Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao out.

    Discuss.

Floyd's resume continue to rise ever since he beat JMM due to JMM's accomplishments after that embarrassing shutout. JMM's win of the rivalry against Pac continues to get better and better as time goes by.

of course he will hand pick his way to 50-0 , the guy is a disgrace .

if he thinks he is going to go down in history as some kind of legend he is very much mistaken , he hill be hounded to the day he dies of the fights he never took . every interview , every public appearance , it will be relentless .

i just do not understand how anyone , even his die hard supporters can defend his actions anymore , that calling out of pac the other day was nothing more than a huge smokescreen to try and save the tiny bit of credibility the guy has left . we all know the fight will not happen and neither will the khan fight .

boxing fans around the world need to unite and have a mass petition to not watch his last PPVs , why should we have to pay our hard earned money to a man that is blatantly cheating the public of what we should be watching and giving us C list fights against fighters he has already beat .

in a way i want these last 2 mickey mouse fights as quickly as possible so he can walk off into the sunset with all his deluded fan base and we never have to talk about him again .

Every single time I think about the fight, it goes differently. At first it was "Pacquiao would be in his fast and land much more" then it was "Well if Pacquiao looked bad against Clottey, Mosley and JMM how would he beat a guy perfect at what they tried to do?". Now it's moved to "Well the shoulder roll can be open to straight punches, and Pacquiao's left is as unpredictable as Mayweather's right".

Right now I reckon Pacquiao could do it. Mayweather doesn't run away. He's only really slightly on the back foot and utilized his body movement as opposed to his footwork/running (like Algeri and Mosley, to a degree JMM but JMM switched it up a lot). That insane left straight from Pacquiao might be able to drop Mayweather once or twice if he's caught a little flat footed (which Mayweather was a few times in his recent fights, only he dodged the incoming shots most of the time).

Then again, you've got the fact that they would likely be close together after Pac fires off and I'd defo say that Mayweather would eat him up when they are in close. The jab to the body from Mayweather will win him round after round if Pacquiao isn't landing big.

SEE WHAT I MEAN?! In this post I just went from Pacquiao winning to Mayweather winning. It changes every single time I think about it. Are any of you like this? I know a lot of you are die hards for one side and wouldn't falter but for someone who's fairly subjective, it's like every time we see both of these guys fight we see a new aspect of their game which may either be a weakness or a strength. Pacquiao was open to that half overhand / half straight right punch from Algeri (which Pac does with his left a fair bit too). Mayweather was susceptible to being bullied by Maidana and someone with more strength might have really took Mayweather down a notch in that one. With every punch thrown, it's like my mind ways to look for ways the other one can capitalize.
