    I understand that.

But if I were a fan of Joe's, I wouldn't like to have seen a motivated and sharp Toney (Barkley fight) fight the version of Joe who fought Robin Reid.

That isn't the full story. That's looking at boxrec.

5/6 fights in 3 years...Andre Ward would love that kind of activity.

You dismiss the win over Hearns like it was nothing. Hearns had just beaten undefeated future Hall of Famer and top ten pound for pound fighter Hill in a fight where people waxed lyrical about how Tommy had rolled back the years (in spite of being a heavy underdog)
Hearns took this momentum into the Barkley fight, but it didn't help him. It was a fantastic win for anyone, including Barkley.

I'm not saying Barkley was the reincarnation of Ray Robinson, but he was a handful and a three weight world champ. The manner of the victory was a huge deal at the time, and elevated Toney from 8-10 in most people's P4P list to top three (many had him number 1)

What the hell is your problem?

H2H comparisons are only relevant when they relate to fighters in their prime. That is the point.

It is a widely accepted view that Toney was in his prime against Barkley or Littles. Whether you believe that or not is your problem. :deal

We are moving into another subject now. :?

However, there seems to be no question that Toney has beaten better opposition than Calzaghe during his career.

Read what I wrote again. I didnt say Toney, I said look at the opponents and that Calzaghe, who you mentioned when beating Kessler, was not prime then. He was at the end of a SMW career with badly damaged hands

This is once again a typical coward comment to escape admitting you ducked questions posed to you.
You can make any comment about me, but we both factually know that you ducked questions repeated to you :lol:. Thats how I know you were beaten

    bailey,

    Rubbish??

    Ha!

    Here we go again.

I never said they were at SMW.

I don't care if the McCallum win was debatable. He won.

We both know who Nunn beat. You're always looking for angle. You're always looking to try and exploit something.

You can nitpick anyone's resume with a fine-toothed comb if you really wanted to.

Joe Calzaghe does not have a win on his resume, that equals McCallum and Nunn.

Me, and everyone else knows it.

He was looking impressive to a certain extent. But it was obvious he had a lot of flaws.

I don't buy that Joe ruined his career.

I think it was just a matter of time until he ran into a a real quality, elite fighter like Joe.

How do you think he'd have faired against the best of the 90's SMW's?

    You're entitled to your opinion.

But again, I'd put the Barkley version of Toney up against any version of Joe, either SMW or LHW.

Now tell me what wins Joe had, that were better than Toney's wins over Nunn and McCallum?

I guess you'll probably list Eubank.

Sure I duck questions like who did Toney ever beat at super middle blah blah blah same ole **** different day !

Like I said its to difficult to comprehend for you that Joe is not in Toney's league never was never will be .. Hell he wasn't even in Eubanks league but he manages to beat an old one so you consider him to be ..Same with Roy ..
