Best British Title fights of the past 10 - 15 years?

Think Moore was defending his European title

 

Good tear up that though.

 

Yeah that rings a bell, pretty much was Moore's last hurrah.

 

Already mentioned but Moore v Macklin & Arthur v Gomez are the 2 that I remember best over the past 20 years or so.

 

Tell you what was a good heavyweight tussle, Danny Williams beating Matt Skelton, not as good as the fights mentioned but a good tear up nonetheless.

 

Not a British title fight but Earl vs Katsidis was a great fight.

I'd initially written it was a c.racker but the thought police have banned anything and everything on this once good forum.

I mean on what type of boxing forum can't you write Riddic k Bowe?

 

Danny Williams was involved in a few good ones

 

He was actually but his first fight against Harrison was the worst fight I've ever had the misfortune to sit through.

 

Tell me about it. I was there with a few friends. Day had been good, out on the town since 11am and then the fight was not very good at all. Still fun day overall

 

Recently Francis vs Ajisafe was entertaining

 

To this day that is still the worst fight I have ever seen apart fron round 12. It was a bad publicity night for boxing.

Then we have the Gavin v Skeete fight this year atsch

 

Don't forget he was also involved in 2 stinkers against Fraudley and another against Skelton

 

Audley stopped him in their 2nd fight in the 2nd or 3rd round. Williams looked unprepared...

Williams first fight with Matt Skelton was an excellent, proper old school title fight. I do not think the rematch lived upto the 1st encounter though...

 

Not forgotten any of that, just noted when it came to British title fights, he was in some good ones like the -
M Potter one when he had a damaged shoulder
K Long fight
M Sprott 2
even when he was faded, which was years ago, he had good battles, like his first fight with
Skelton 1
Gammer
McDermott twice
