When pac accepts May 2nd then cool. But arum already came out and said he not fighting on floyd's date. I guess negotiations are over.

Now back to floyd fighting cotto with middleweight title.

Well mayweather would win a legit middleweight title.
Mayweather would hold 3 lineal titles in 3 different weight classes all at once.
Mayweather had a great fight with cotto first time around. Now cotto has Roach in the corner.
The 1st fight did 1.5 million ppv. Cotto draws a crowd that's for sure.

If people can't see why this all makes sense to a past prime mayweather then you just hating.

Now if arum comes out and says yes we agree to fight floyd on his date then floyd can get hate until then I don't see this as a ****ty fight. It much better than watching a boring Khan match.

on forums they will , but deep down in the bottom of their heart they know he is running scared of the big fights , maybe when a new paper icon comes around they will admit their true feelings on mr mayweather .

Not really a Floyd fan, but I think he is a great fighter. Yes I think the Cotto fight is a good fight. With Roach, Cotto will fight a better fight...Would still pick Money however...The Money/Pac is past it's due date by about four years people...it's not a super fight anymore.

I don't know how they can support it. It's like Floyd calling out pacquiao, Pacquiao in turn was cornerned so he sets up an interview that he wants Floyd also. But after a few weeks, pac's camp was not really negotiating with Floyd but offering rios or bradley another fight.

    Can't tell if sarcastic... :think

If he fights Cotto again it'll be an insult to the fans imo.

Holding three titles at different weight class at the same time is just politics and proves why WBC is corrupt. What would floyd beating cotto again prove?

OK so I just now read the opening post and want to clarify. I'd rather see the Pacquiao fight, obviously, but a match with Cotto is among the very best for him and sometimes the ideal choice doesn't happen so I'll always have more than one acceptable opponent for every fighter.

Hopefully this fight takes place above 154 so it can be for the MW lineal title. I suppose defending the titles he won from Alvarez is possible but in my opinion the closer to 160 the better.

Again, question for floyd fans. What does it prove for Floyd if he beats Cotto again?
