Fury made a huge deal about hold the British title then vacated when price was his mando.

The train wreck that is price post thompson aside it's hard to make a case that fury didn't duck him at that point.

He has been reluctant to fight anyone his own size who is actually any good.

Why not? Thompson has all the tools to give Fury a very, very hard nights work. Fury's chin is still as brittle as ever and just because he beat down Chisora (who didnt land on him all night) doesnt mean he can suddenly take punches from a real super heavy. If he tries standing southpaw vs Thompson he probably gets dropped like a sack of ****! Tony has called out Fury numerous times and nothing has come of it. Go figure.

I can find no evidence on Google of them fighting twice. Price won in 2006 (22-8 ) being knocked down once.

That from everything I can see is the only time they fought.

Fury's amateur record was 31 wins (26 KOs) and 4 defeats (0 KOs). He also had zero counts or knockdowns against him as an amateur.

The same cannot be said for Price (double figures including stoppages to Stiverne, Glazkov and Camarelle and being knocked down by Fury and 3 times in one fight by Varghese Johnson!) or Anthony Joshua for that matter too.

 

Fury needs to increase his profile massively by getting away from Boxnation.

Bigger profile fighting on Channel 5 or Eurosport.

 

Fury definitely the most overrated fighter we have. Fact is they're both average. Still a good fight this.
