Mayweather should just leave the May, 2015 date for Alvarez-Cotto and fight Pacquiao on June, 2015 and if having a rematch with Pacquiao, they can set a rematch fight late next year.

Mayweather-Alvarez was fought on a September and still did 2.2 million PPVs, doesn't always have to be on May.

Mayweather-Pacquiao can sell itself and has been over hyped in the last few years. It will still do great numbers even without the date May, 2015.

All the demands from Mayweather such as the purse, ppv share, venue, blood testing, gloves etc be in Mayweather's favour since he is the ''A Side''.

Atleast what Mayweather can do is give Team Pacquiao for the date of the fight.

Mayweather should stop with the excuses and road blocks.

Give Cotto and Canelo 10 mil each to step down from being a main event. Haha

Fight goes and we have a better card, a win win. (in my dreams)

First Saturday of May maximizes the revenue, so it's only logical to have the biggest fight on the biggest date.

Why should Floyd care about two guys that he beat already? No one can give a legit reason why this date is all of a sudden bad...

Because Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao don't want to fight May 2nd so now their legions of fans must blindly support that. It's only sticking to the pattern of the last 6+ years...

Mexicans are generally great boxing fans. If we are talking about Mexican boxing fans and not Mexicans who occasionally watch boxing, then they would take Mayweather vs. Pacquiao over Canelo vs. Cotto every day of the week.

They didn't have a problem on Cinco de Mayo of 2007 making Mayweather vs. Oscar, a fight between two Americans, the biggest selling PPV ever at the time.

This. But flom0s and floyd would insist May or nothing.

I don't agree with floyd stipulations that would affect the fight like forcing pacquiao to wear pillow gloves or floyd picking his own referee and judges.

    (can't tell if serious...)

How is blood testing in either one fighters' favor?! They both undergo the same tests. Unless you are saying one is at a disadvantage because he's more likely to be dirty. That is the only possible explanation.

The venue hasn't been set so you don't know this at all.

The purse split and dividing of the PPV revenue has not been set so you don't know this at all.

What information do you know about the topic of gloves in the Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations that none of the rest of us do?

You seem like an inside source... Please, tell us more!!!!

You're sounding awfully weak in that post, man. Like you want to say something else but your agenda has you clinging...

Complete bullsh*t. Only 3 of the top 10 grossing PPV fights in history happened in May.

    Fact.
