Saw an interview with Bob Arum today, it was on facebook I will try and find it.

Basically he says that Franklin Gacal has nothing to do with Pacquiao now and that he no longer represents him, the interviewer then asks him about Froch vs. Chavez jr as Eddie Hearn mentioned it as a possibility Arum says there is no chance of that happening, says Chavez is still under contract with Top Rank and they are not close to reaching an agreement to end that contract.

Bob Arum seems completely confident that's not happening. Thank god for that!

EDIT: found the interview listen to it at 1:45 - http://boxhub.tv/video/121700/bob-a...he-is-blocking-the-mayweather-pacquiao-fight/

why thank god? do you have a problem with froch fulfilling his last ambition in boxing and going out on a nice mexican ppv pay-off?

you come across as petty and bitter. again.

Eddie not being able to make things happen... AGAIN!

Froch should see the situation for what it is: He can't get a Vegas fight, and Eddie will only feed him to Degale.

I'd retire if I was Carl. He's worth a fortune and he won't EVER top what he just did at Wembley. It's the perfect way to bow out, IMHO.

Good, I'd rather see him fight DeGale or GGG.
Chavez is ****, lives off his family name and has only ever beat smaller guys while he has a massive weight advantage. Was schooled by a small middleweight in Martinez and then won a robbery against Vera.
Froch beats him easy, Chavez has no way to win.

My take is that Froch deserves the payday and relatively easy fight against the son of the legend. He has been in quite a couple of wars, and although I'd like to see him in against Golovkin, I wouldn't recommend it if I was his manager

This. I have no interest in making a 20 quid contribution to the Froch retirement fund to see him against an undisciplined, overweight, overhyped son of a great fighter. Golovkin should come through unscathed in February. No reason why Froch vs Golovkin couldn't happen in the summer.

although a great fight, ggg is a bit of a no win for froch, if he did win it'd be against a "blown-up small mw". it'd be awesome to see 2 europeans headline vegas.

chavez would be a good fight too as he likes to engage, with froch a heavy favourite. for those who don't wish to contribute, it ain't compulsory.

All Frothy is interested in is PPV cash and 2 easy fights before retirement.

Career ends in the same limp manner as Calzaghe.

He's a Calzaghe fan, nobody pays much attention to his posts.
