A lot of trainers in Vegas don't like the way Pac fights, but he makes it work and beats the hell out of world class fighters.

Doesn't plant for power shots, doesn't turn them over, bounces around, doesn't wait for the set up, doesn't work off the jab ... but he beats the hell out of all the guys who do that, save for the one bad style match up he has had in his career, a guy he almost blew out in one round until that one guy adopted to his unorthodoxy and now knows him in and out, but still has a tough time.

Sometimes you have to throw the rules of boxing out and do what works, and Pac clearly works in the ring. I'm surprised trainers don't criticize Ali for pulling straight back and laying on the ropes, but hey, sometimes guys make their unique style work at the all time great level.

A journeyman super middle/light heavyweight in Vegas kept saying, if I was Pac's size, I would beat him. The hell he would. Pac would probably beat him even with the size disparity.

Lots of disdain from technical trainers for Pacquiao, but he is a great fighter who works in spite of his mistakes and perhaps even because of. Much like Hamed, don't try this style at home.

Shouldn't Arum be pushing for the biggest fight out there for his fighter?

Canelo is Golden boy and Cotto isn't with anyone is he?

I cant get my head around it....

Amazing. So I ask the question why not May. And the best thing anyone can come up with is the date doesn't matter and Floyd's just trolling the boxing public.

In other words people can't even think of a logical answer. But they just grasp at any excuse no matter how dumb. Simply pathetic. Arum's gotta be loving his position. He can make any excuse no matter how stupid because he's knows Floyd's haters will just eat it up.

Cotto is with Arum. Floyd is pushing a fight with Cotto and not Pacquiao.

    1. Mayweather NEVER said "only in May". He just plans on fighting in May like he always does. The only person making a big deal out of the date is Arum. Fans are only making a big deal because Arum did.

    2. Floyd is only focused on his next fight, not September. People will talk so much **** if he delays until September.

People saying he's using May 2nd to avoid Pacquiao are just dumb.

    1. He's always fought in May
    2. He's had that date pegged since his Showtime deal
    3. Using the date to duck someone literally makes no sense. Because if May is not available, there's always April or June. What then?

You ever think that Arum's offer isn't enticing enough? Why do you assume things without knowing the details?

Anything we hear is hear-say until it comes from the horses mouth. I know you hate Floyd but you don't have to blame him for everything.

People thought Floyd would duck Canelo, they thought he'd duck Mosley too. Shame. He'll fight Pacquiao.

Floyds safety first attitude automatically disqualifies him from the argument. Those guys mentioned by the OP were willing to take risks to put the other guys lights out ie. they were real fighters , and surely as a result took more punches as well. Floyd however isnt prepared to take those kinds of risks so he just plays it safe and cruises to a decision. TBE MY ASS

Why on earth is Mayweather obsessed with Cinco De Mayo fights anyways. Is it because the month May has his name in it:patsch

Floyd is due to retire next year. Why should he be bothered about keeping them?

The fact is whether it's December, July, May or February people will tune in to see Floyd fight. The date is irrelevant.
