I predict a double KO . . . then after both have been found guilty of using roids, PEDS, A-Side Meth, loaded gloves, and stripped padding. . . both of them will have their records dissolved, their wiki pages deleted, and their boxrec accounts destroyed and it will be like the fight never happened

following that, floyd and pac will get married in a state that allows for such thing to happen and they will retire peacefully in each others arms

I agree that it is. However, Floyd has earned the right to fight on whatever date he chooses. He prefers May and Sept. @ the MGM. And he's made that no secret for the last 4-5 years.

Canelo wants the date by birthright. But, he wants to frame it like he's "taking it back." Yet, he had the opportunity right in front of him (to take it back) and he was whipped like a man child, by a little fella. So, he needs to shut up and wait his turn. When Floyd retires, Canelo will be handed these dates on a silver platter...even if he loses to Cotto.

Arum is just using this as an excuse to gain some leverage on Floyd. Because, he knows Manny doesn't really have any left.

    ^These are the facts.

Too bad people's hatred of Floyd will never allow them to comprehend this sort of common sense.

Guerrero, Alvarez, Madaina, Brusseles, Sharmba Mitchell, and Ortiz deserved it? Do any of those guys have one tenth of the accomplishments of Pac? Did Mosley run in fear from any of them? Did Oscar get stopped by them? Did Madaina stop Morales?

Cotto, Mosley, and Oscar deserved the fight with Floyd. So did N'dou, Corrales, Genaro Hernandez, and Castillo, at the time, but that was a long time ago. Now, so does Pac. That's about it from recent years. Marquez at the time did not deserve it.

Pac's resume at welterweight is astonishing; there is no more deserving fighter to challenge Floyd. Beating Berto, a guy who was severely tested by Collazo, who was easily bested by Mosley years before when Mosley was still old, should not make you marketable for a Floyd fight. Beating Devon Alexander shouldn't, either.

But beating Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Cotto, Margarito (who had a stoppage win over Sergio Martinez), Clottey, Oscar, and Mosley should probably earn you a shot at Floyd. Even if you somehow scored every Marquez fight for JMM, I had them 2-2, with the first two going to Pac, and they are close enough to say there was no clear winner, let alone call it a robbery.

Why wouldn't we follow the sport? I would probably just go as far to say "o mayweather retired?, good for him he had a good career" and then just wonder who will fight for the vacant titles.

    Same for Pac.

Canelo and Arum must think everyone is stupid. How is Canelo going to try to fight in America, on American TV, in a fight where most of the revenue is generated by Americwn money, and try to claim certain dates are only for Mexicans? Imagine if Mayweather tried to go to Mexico in order to fight there in a fight that would be financed by Mexican money and bump Canelo off a date because he claimed it was for Americans. He would get laughed at.

The is an Arum manufactured controversy. The cable and satellite providers would only give a PPV slot to one fight for a particular date. If they had to chose between Mayweather/Pacquiao and Alvarez/Cotto, we all know which one they would chose without hesitation.
