I don't know how he still doesn't understand this simple concept. I can only hope he's deliberately being thick.

I forget what I scored it. 8-4 or 7-5. De la Hoya stopped jabbing and got sloppy with his combinations

but seriously still waiting for boxing_masters scorecards. delahoya floyd for me was exactly like cotto v floyd

first time watching them i had it very close win for floyd (can you believe i had floyd beating cotto by 1 or 2 rounds?) then i rewatched them and went "what ****ing fight did i watch the first time?". most rounds were competitive but floyd did enough to take majority of them

Floyd Senior said that Junior lost the fight. And there's a reason Floyd ducked the rematch which would have broken even more records and earned him even more money. Floyd wasn't about that Oscar life after he squeaked by.

116-112 Floyd. I had Oscar up 4-2 at the halfway point, but he started fading badly around the same time Floyd started stepping on the gas a bit, and Mayweather shut him out over the final 6 on my card.

Floyd v DLH didn't live up to the hype. A rematch would have done far worse, maybe a million less. As usual, Floyd opponents become gun shy as the fight progresses.

I'm not saying that Floyd didn't have anything to do with that, but Oscar was notorious for slowing down considerably over the 2nd half of a fight. That's nothing new, that's his trademark (barring the Ike fight and the first Mosley fight, where I recall him finishing strong).

Nah! Oscar actually WAS doing well in the first half of the fight. Cotto, not so much barring that one good round early. At the end of the day, I only gave Oscar 1 more round than I gave Cotto, but Oscar was actually in the fight, whereas Cotto was never really in it (despite the delusions of many here at ESB).

The thing is OSDL chose himself to come in light. You people keep forgetting that. When the fight was rumoured to happen 95% on these forum said Roach and Arum should get fired because everyone thought it was a farce.

Even ODLH himself said that fighting Manny was the hardest thing ever in his career by fare.

Pac vs ODLH is one of the biggest shocks in boxing history

8-4 or 7-4-1 are both fine with me - Floyd won clearly.

If Oscar had not abandoned the Jab it would be closer.

    A relatively clear 116-112 Mayweather.

Oscar fought better than almost everyone else who has ever faced Mayweather, but still it wasn't exactly a close fight. It felt "close" for a little bit aided by Oscar winning a couple early rounds.

I had it no worse than 116-112 floyd. Oscar was winning after 7 or 8 rounds, even merchant got stewart, who was loving all over Floyd that night, to admit Floyd was going to lose if he didn't pick it up. Oscar was outboxing Floyd until he tired down the stretch, Oscar's jab which was winning him the fight, was beginning to get countered as oscar slowed down thus shutting his jab down. It was a close fight, the only difference was Floyd has more energy. When they were fresh Oscar was the better fighter and winning more rounds. But Oscar forced the fight, was the aggressor, was hitting Floyd alot to the body, even his shoulders and neck which is why Floyd's dad said something in effect "if you like who touches who more, Oscar won" But the last 1/4 of the fight was pretty clear Floyd rounds. I think I actually scored it 115-113. No damage was done really to either fighter except Floyd had a swollen cheek bone, a tiny shiner below his eye.
