Eubank, Reid, Brewer, Mitchell, Woodhall, Bika, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones is hardly glass is it. Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Ward, Johnson, Bute, Groves are Frochs stand out opponents. Is there really a massive gulf in class? Only difference is Froch fought them on the bounce. Take your blinkers off.
You say about Froch and rematches but why didn't Calzaghe fight Reid in a rematch, watch the fight, it was extremely close. Why didn't Calzaghe fight B-Hop in a rematch when the majority or at least half of people thought B-Hop won. People keep banging on about Joe beating a prime Kessler but they refuse to acknowledge that he was injured. He didn't fight Ottke when Ottke was the man in the division, Joe only became the man once Ottke retired. Why did Joe take on a shot Roy Jones instead of Pavlik or Dawson, don't use the money excuse because his fight with Roy Jones flopped badly. Fighting Pavlik when he was the great white hope would have been a bigger fight. Calzaghe was a good fighter with a good resume, but he left a lot of stones unturned.
why read back, I quote you exactly in this same post just as I did the last one and the one before - "Reid, Woodhall, Brewer and Mitchell all current or ex world champions" so no need to read back. Your words mean the same yesterday as they do today. time does not change their meaning.
I had Reid beating Calzaghe. I wish he had of fought Pavlik as Pavlik was made for Calzaghe and whilst I like Pavlik I was never sold on him. Regarding his win over Hopkins I was led to believe the majority of people had Calzaghe out working him in a close but clear fight. But truthfully regarding the fight would you like to see it again? I know I wouldn't. There are lots of people who had Dirrell beating Froch but the fight was awful to watch. Froch had a verbal agreement to rematch Pascal in the future both fighters have mentioned it several times. That's what I was alluding to. Reid deserved the rematch I thought he did the better work.
And what part of I forgot that Woodhall had just lost to Beyer therefore I was wrong do you not understand ? I expect to see you on the undateables next week you re****.
hopkins and jones were 40+, both already clearly beaten before Joe went near them yet they were in the divisions above and below him for a decade. Do you see a pattern here why did he waste that decade ?
Regarding Hopkins I thought this was common knowledge. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2003/jul/22/boxing.joecalzaghe Regarding Jones probably the same reason Jones v Michalczweski never materialised. But during that decade apart from Ottke he virtually cleaned out the division regardless of the Sobots and Pudwills he faced.
he certainly cleaned out the sobots and pudwill types. cant think of any weaklings he ducked, that's for sure.
yes yes for SOME reason or another joe missed all the big fights the top notch kept fighting though ?
I miss Calzaghe. He beat Hopkins and Jones in their own territory, that takes nerve. SOB Ward will only fight in his own home town with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Ward will not fight Froch in the UK for huge money, not for any amount of money because he is afraid of fighting outside him home town................
How am I making excuses for him? Please explain it was common knowledge that Hopkins turned him down. But then again you'd know this if you were actually a fan of the sport. It seems that if you're a Froch fan you must hate or at least by envious of what Calzaghe achieved. Same as the Junior ****ter fans back in the day who would do anything to discredit Hatton (scurlantings and Betty). It's laughable and pathetic.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJS-HttWeio poor form from ricky robbing the british public , tell me how it was ok to claim to be the best lww in the country without proving it or winning the british title :think as you said earlier from a true boxing fans perspective :-verysad
