    Ho hum.

Collazo was "live", eh? Because he kayoed Ortiz? Winless in three years Ortiz? Absent from the ring for eighteen months Ortiz? Headcase, mental-midget, proven gutless quitter and part-time boxer, semi-retired, Dancing With the Stars Ortiz?

    :dead

Collazo's last remotely world class performance (and Ortiz's for that matter) was versus Berto, when he got robbed. Since then, Collazo has been horrible. Smashing up Ortiz's husk didn't change that. Collazo is horrible and has been for several years.

Khan had one really good victory this year and it was hardly up there with the best anybody had. :hi:

Kovalev is sneaking up, in 2nd place now, seven votes behind Inoue, eight ahead of Pacquiao...

People think that because Khan dominated, Alexander, he can beat Floyd. Ignoring the fact that Floyd is much, MUCH better than Alexander.

This is just my opinion, but Khan is B-level at best.

Crawford is also clawing his way up, now tied with Pacquiao for #3.

1 week ago the diehard purists had it neck and neck between Gonzalez and Ruenroeng, who now comprise less than 5% of the overall vote combined. :!:

Inoue is clearly the lighter-weights F'erOTY, at least.

Speaking of Pac****s, one on another site is trying to tell me that Pacquiao has the best resume at WW in his last three fights, and that Algieri and Rios were good wins.

We are trying to tone that down, though a lot of it is out of frustration mote than anything else. The recent "awards" from Dan Rafael and the nominations from the BWAA did make our blood boil however and it's a shame that those in that type power don't "toss a bone" towards guys from the east. :thumbsup

    I understand the frustrations, definitely.

There are plenty of us out in the West that do appreciate the great talents over there.

On my personal list of the 6 best fighters of 2014, half are from Asia. (Inoue #1, Ruenroeng #3, Pacquiao #6)

I think in spite of the media over here dropping the ball, many fans are catching on to what a hotbed of high quality boxing that side of the Pacific has been.

Fair enough. There are certain posters who will bring a certain fighter they love or hate into any thread. Massively annoying.

Really interested to see where my pick for fighter of the year - Kovalev goes in 2015. Can he lure in Stevenson? Will beterbiev become a force at 175?

Or, they're just more capable of being mature and objective than are their counterparts in their eternal feud? :conf
