no he will be remembered for ducking Paquiao and being a safety first cherry picker. TBE- the best excuse
Really his legacy can rise or fall he has to fight Pacquiao preferably next. regardless though I think boxing heads will remember him more for his 5* division title's,4*lineal titles, and most champs beaten all time, while being unbeaten. Detractors will probably call him a skilled ducker. I think fight he finishes with Manny next, Cotto/Canelo winner after, then Brook/Khan winner for IBF WW title, it would be hard to deny him as one of the absolute top ATG's.
Them guys are all good NAMES & Hof/Atg type fighters but in 9 fight's MAB I - great/solid win(Barerra was on a solid run one of Pac's best) JMM I - draw EM I - EM was coming off a loss, and Pac loss this fight EM II - was coming off another loss EM III - still coming off a loss this time to Pac(went on to lose next 3 bouts) JMM II - bit of a bad decision near robbery MAB II = coming off a loss JMM III = unquestionable robbery JMM IV = KO loss in 9 fight's it's only 1/2 good wins Barerra I, and Morales II simply because Morales managed to win fight I the dude who made the comparison of Guerrero/Morales everybody jumped on just based off name but look at the circumstances, Morales in the middle of a 1 win 6/7 loss streak before retiring for two years then making a comeback. Guerrero 8 year's unbeaten, Titlist in 4 division's, and Champ in 2, coming off wins over the #1&2 ranked contenders under the WBC both were top 6/7 WW at the time. Guerrero's name might not be better but it might be a better win.
Where, what is not a factually verifiable statement? more exciting and more relevant are two different things
Nah, I don't believe that. A Pac win would greatly enhance his legacy and give it the respectability it rightfully deserved.
Good to see most people think his legacy will be defined for ducking Pac, which he will be if he never mans up.
It's not necessarily ducking Pac. They've had a "feud" going for 5+ years now. He will forever be linked to Pacquiao, no matter what. The question is HOW? * Will he be known for never fighting his biggest rival? ~OR~ * Will he be known for winning or losing against his rival? It comes down to that, but any of those 3 outcomes doesn't change the fact that he will, first and foremost, be linked to Pacquiao.
hey floyd fan, you can only pick one Pac's best wins are against fighters who're passed their prime? or Pac was on PED's? :rofl
The only legacy that his undefeated record echoes is his shameful and blatant ducking of Pacquiao. Pacquiao is straight up embarrassing him by repeatedly calling him out and ridiculing him FFS.
I actually respect the early part of his career when he fought the likes of Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Castillo (twice), Manfredy, and Augustus. The "0" won't mean much because, no matter how fans may speculate, nobody, not even the omniscient Pauline Malignaggi, could be certain Mayweather would have beaten Pacquiao. Sven Ottke retired with a "0" and nobody really cared.
