It had it's moments but certainly wasn't fan friendly throughout, and a good bit of that fab friendlyness was courtesy of Amagasa being opening but willing.

I thought it was a damn fun fight. Some great action in rounds 5, 7, 8 and 10

Pac's fights are fan friendly throughout? Donaire's fights are fan friendly throughout? It really depends on the opponent. Pac has had his fair share of snoozers. So has Donaire. It's part of boxing. Every round of a fight isn't going to be exciting.

Did you watch the Amagasa fight? I'm assuming not.

didn't see the fight but i've seen enough to know he's primarily a counterpuncher.

Watch that highlight and you'll see he was putting on an offensive performance to show he can fight coming forwards.

Hisashi Amagasa, ranked 10 by WBA prior to the fight. Not really a good opponent, but the fight was a stay busy for Rigondeaux to keep him active while all the top names avoided him.

I still think his fight with Teon Kennedy was his most picture perfect performance. Wish we can have that Rigo in every other fight he's in.

Rigondeaux's offensive skills are aided immeasurably by his accursed ugliness, it has a medusian effect, opponents are momentarily frozen in their tracks when they see his gruesome morose testudinal visage up close.

Wait a second. I know this post is two years old but you were calling Jorge Arce and Fernando Montiel a couple of limited Mexicans? Arce is a five time four weight champ and Montiel is a four time three weight champion. Rigo's a level above them but give credit where it's due. Those are some hall of fame level guys.

Pac was matched against Barrera, Morales, and Marquez. Donaire was matched against Narvaez, Montiel, and Arce. Those are all substantial fighters and great wins. Montiel was #7 on Ring's p4p list when Donaire fought him.

He was badly hurt by Amagasa but covered it well, and rocked by Marroquin.

Rigo has really good offense if you rush him.
