He can't give credit to Floyd and he can't criticize Pac.. The worst thing I heard him say about Pac was that he was too nice which isn't even really criticizing him...

"Fighting fire with fire" when you're hurt isn't always the best thing to do. In fact, it is often a stupid move because it's risky. When you're hurt your mind and body aren't all there, and any attack you try to throw could backfire because you leave yourself exposed.

Your question is basically saying, "show me one time when Mayweather made a stupid decision." Maybe he has made stupid decisions, I don't know, but it was never by reacting poorly when hurt.

As other posters have pointed out, Mayweather later came back to dominate those fights after he was hit hard. Do you think that's a bad thing?

    Pacquiaoa Fans?

Do you ever question whether Bob Arum is being entirely honest with Pacquiao? Like when Pacquiao says in the news anything about negotiations that the information that he is getting is from arum and it possibly has been manipulated by Bob Arum?

What do you think? Honest question...

That is irrelevant to the thread, no one claimed that he goes toe to toe. That is not the only method of reacting after a fighter is hurt. Deciding not to go toe to toe doesn't diminish a fighter. Maybe it makes them boring, but if they are playing by the rules then it's fair game.

There are no rules in boxing that say you need to go toe to toe. Anyone who whines about fighters not following a set of made up rules that aren't part of the official rules of the sport is an idiot. That's the kind of logic that losers use to justify losing, , or to disparage an opponent they don't like. For example a kid whining after losing the Street Fighter arcade, "no fair! He was using cheap moves!" If the move wasn't allowed, it wouldn't be part of the game. Placing an artificial set of rules on top of the game is a loser mentality thing to do. It shows you can't compete against the "cheap move", so you restrict your opponent from using it. Or in your case, you want Mayweather to fight with a low ring IQ, and when he doesn't you discredit him.

You play by the actual rules, and do whatever you can within that framework. If you win that way then you win, end of story.

Huh? Floyd reacted brilliantly when Mosley hurt him. Yeah, he held, and cleared his head, but then quickly recovered, and proceeded to win the rest of the very same round he was hurt in (which was the 2nd). Then he proceeded to whop Mosley in a one-sided masterclass the rest of the way.

I'd say he reacted pretty well to being hurt by Shane.
