I think all articles stem from this, and I don't buy anything reporters chalk up to 'sources' or 'receiving word.'

I'm saying it's strange CONGRESS gets involved in baseball because a few dudes hit a lot of home runs, but NOBODY is controlling boxing or MMA, where steroid use actually matters a little bit more.

And yes, boxing is a niche sport in the US, but it's still people legally beating the f*ck out of each other.

I agree with you in principle. :good

But two things jump to mind:

    1. As I already said, and you more adequately described, boxing is a "niche sport" in the US and baseball is the national pastime.

    2. Congress is a made up of complete morons!!

Yes, He's obviously on that. Now you can make the case that Pac and Floyd can both be juicing (any top fighter if not all) but at least they aren't obvious, that's why we ****ers debate on that ****.

Now JMM here? Can't make a case that he didn't, seriously.. Just look at how he looks. A 40 year old gaining a sudden boost in power, popping muscles, with boils/acne or whatever the hell you prefer to call it all over his chest and back and were not even putting his strength and conditioning coach into the equation.

Seriously how can you not find anything suspicious about Pac. A guy struggling with Erik Morales all of a sudden starts walking down Cotto. Then, when asked to take ped test, he starts sueing and making all kinds of excuses on why he can't take a test that most professional athletes take. If any other fighter not named Pac had made much excuses on why the won't do ped test, they will be called PEDer by everyone on this forum.

I still think this was because Pac and team were suspicious that Floyd and USADA would produce a false positive.

It's also possible that Pac was dirty. Ariza is pretty shady.

Why would USADA risk their reputation and future contract from large sports cooperation in order to protect some boxer name Floyd Mayweather.:conf

Regarding the drug testing with Floyd/Pac, I always thought it was the dictating of terms which offended the Pac camp. When two businesses are negotiating to close a deal, it's important not to offend the other party or try to dictate terms. That's importamt because back in 2009, they were close in ppv numbers. Plus, I honestly think it was just a roadblock trumped up by Floyd's camp and had Pac agreed to it, Floyd would've simply made up another roadblock. And Pac did eventually agree to all testing.

I remember before it became so seemingly obvious he was juicing, how Marquez fans would try giving me sooooo much **** for thinking JMM was on PEDs.... Finally its becoming more accepted to most common sense thinkers.

Yup, the juan****s have come to accept this reality little by little. It was a painful process for them but they can't deny anymore that JMM was obviously doping under Heredia after hiring him.

Because he was their inroad to the sport of boxing, where they were charging 100k for their protocol to VADA's 10k for a much more stringent protocol?

Imagine the publicity if USADA 'caught' Pacquiao juicing. They'd be doing testing for every single boxing fight from that point on. iirc, Pacquiao's team objected to USADA, not necessarily to testing.

I'm just speculating, but if the above articles are true then there was something shady going on in the Mayweather/USADA relationship.
