just seen on social media what you have done for Lee Noble. Top man. You get alot of stick on here from the keyboard warriors so i thought i would level things up and sing your praises
Billy if you read this post could u answer a question i have. You have a job and train fighters how does that work out? how often do u get to the gym etc? If your fighters are full time how and when do they train with you and do they train with others or alone while you work? Are most fighters also employed and work full time? Thanks
I work night shift Thurs-Sun in a residential care setting, we go to the gym at 10am so on Friday and Monday I just stay awake and go to the gym. We're in the gym 5 days a week occasionally one day at the weekend, it works fine never had a problem.
Dedication is that billy. No need for going into figures etc but it doesn't take a genius to see for a massive amount of a fighters career the purses of fighters isn't life changing & naturally that's reflected in corner / training teams etc.. I know I've finished a 24hr duty I'm no use to man nor beast , so credit where it's due!
Thanks Billy, u never hear a great deal about trainers or fighters that are not world champs. I know most boxers are not full time it must be hard for all involved to have a balanced life. Is brophy a full time boxer or does he work
like any other coach I could be in the gym for 8 weeks 5 days a week and earn £120-150 I earn more doing one overtime shift at work, so no it's defo not for the money lol I love the sport and improving fighters and if they can make it to a good level and you earn more you've deserved it:good
As ive got older ive become more interested in the behind scenes and everyday goings on in a boxing gym. Especially when it comes to trainers and young up coming fighters who have not made it yet, journeymen also interest me and i give them and the trainers out there all my respect
Massive respect for your Billy,I work a similar job,not easy them night shifts, didn't realise you earned that money in boxing, you deserve a hell of a lot more..
in truth over the co**** of a year a journey and coach could do ok financially, I have the utmost respect for them and especially the boxers doing all those miles for fights they shouldn't win. What I dislike is people like William Earburton pulling off shocks and just shrugging it off like another day at the office
Same always hope journeymen get paid well some these guys fight an incredible amount of times a year deserve every penny. Most won't get paid enough
Fingers crossed you have another champ in your stable soon billy, always good to hear from you on these boards, ignore the haters and keep on doing a great job.
