Another protected "up and comer" that will be exposed in time. There are so many great local match ups for Dunn but instead he is fed a long list of no names and nobody's. How he's supposed to become a more seasoned fighter by being matched with bums has got me f**ked.

Zac Dunn looks like a guy who could make it. Needs to start fighting a better quality of opponent in 2015 though.

If they start matching him properly against better opponents I will take everything back that ive said about him. But until that time, sticking with doing his occasional catch up with Jarrod Fletcher before every fight and feeding on cheap imports will most likely see him go exactly the same way. I will say it again, with match ups available locally like, Bika, Talipaeu, Quinlan, Carr, Murdoch or christ sake even Serge Yannick, who they would get cheaper than the rubbish that he fought in Oct and Dec why do they keep looking overseas?

I agree with most of your points but this is a problem with oz boxing in general. Out Of the opponents you mention , Bika is too expensive and Talipaeu thinks hes too good for our domestic guys. Quinlan is moving divisions. I think the other guys would make for great fights but unfortunately they all have their own agendas and are trying to get to the top aswell.
So you are left with bringing in imports building up a good record and then going on to fight for titles and getting shown up badly.
One possible opponent is Caparello his team have called Zac out but not too sure what weight that would happen at. Probably all talk.

Zac Dunn last opponent wasn’t rubbish at all, was an experienced boxer. At the moment of the fight he was # 69 IN THE WORLD and used to be not long ago well rated in every boxing organization and still is in the top 100 fighters in the division # 93. That boxer will defeat a lot of super middleweights here in Australia even the ones that the media try to present like rising stars.

His next fight is vs the # 15 in the WBC Deiby Berrocal If he beat him, will be in the top 15 WBC and WBO (Where he is already # 12) so after that, if he wins, which I reckon he will, then what else he have to do to show to the boxing people that he is the real deal and one of the main prospect in OZ at super middleweight division

I know he still needs to fight better fighters but he is still young and trust me he will fight top fighters once the opportunity comes, but so far he is doing a great job and getting better fight after fight

Would he have defeated Jake Carr - No, Rohan Murdoch - No, Serge Yannick - No, Bika, Talipeau, Quinlan, Mcculloch - No. What SM are you talking about that he would have beaten? Come on mate. If we are talking about ratings, Berrocal does not deserve a WBC#15 rating and we both know that, seems like a soft touch to me to be fighting a guy who is #69 in the world when you are #32 and then claim its a step forward.

Carr good boxer one of the best at the division in Australia no doubt but who he fought Quinlan # 78 and Yannick # 63 being the # 44

Murdock being the # 27 WHO HE FOUGHT: Siaca # 179 and GASTON vEGA # 84

Yannick fought Carr went the distance Berridge KO and Thomas KO

wHEN tALIPEAU fought a big name like Ramirez KO 1st round

Quinlan fought Carr and went the distance OK good who else

Ben had the chance to fight a well rated one.. good on him at least he got there.. but Chudinov KO him easy

What Im trying to say is that what he is doing is not different from the other boxers you mentioned before which I consider good boxers all of them

Only Bika is the one with a great career so far and fought big fishes but probably at the moment is not an interest of his team to fight him or the other boxers that you mention before. there are overseas boxers better rated in the world and in the organizations that can make you get to the big fights quicker I consider he is well managed

Im not saying he is a World Champion already Im just saying he is on the right track and have the skills to get to the big fights and be a Champ. Berrocal probably is not a # 15 WBC for the achievements in his career but for some reason he is there well rated even after the convention that recently finished in Las Vegas after they updated all the ratings so he is fighting a good boxer and happens that is # 15 WBC and in the top ten WBO Latino so its not rubbish

We are here to comment not to discredit the boxers. Everyone is an expert from the outside but only the boxers know what it is to be in a ring and fight so all of them deserve respect.

Thats my point, if he takes the route like every other Aussie, he will fall short like every other Aussie.
Personally, I want him to go all the way and I give him all the respect in the world for getting in there and having a crack but I want to see the bloke fight decent quality fighters that are going to make him better. I like watching the bloke, I have followed him since the amos, I like the way he took the tough path on his own to fight in Cuba and Russia, so he has shown he can hang with good quality fighters, That said he needs to be tested in the pros against some battle hardened opposition, not just being feed bloke JUST to advance his ratings.

Yes I think that this year he will start fighting better boxers for sure it is time to do it and he is ready even if he still young he had a great amateur career with a lot of fights so I personally think that he is ready and Im sure that he will definitely fight better fighters this 2015

Easy to fly under the radar when you only fight bums.

Dunn would beat Carr, and he'd do so fairly comfortably.
