    Boxrec has been wrong a few times.... I don't remember the fights but I remember the instances.


    Fights not happening.

    Even though 'word' behind the scenes is that it is, and that Mayweather will announce it soon.

    :yep Good question. I hope its at least a decent one. Floyd will probably want to have 1 or 2 of his fighters on that card. Hopefully vs Top Rank fighters while they're at it.

    I'm going on record that if this fight were to happen, the under card will likely be garbage because they aren't going to want to spend any money there, and it would be stupid to do so, in any case, IMO.

    Not saying that's good for real boxing fans. But the casuals who will be the ones that ultimately make or break this potential record breaking mega fight don't give a flying hoot about the under card.

    At least in my experiences where I have watched many fights with various groups of casuals, they almost never care about the under card. One exception I can think of, ironically, was that a few people were interested in Mosley-Canelo before the main event in Floyd-Cotto.

    But generally speaking, people who buy fights - regular casual fans who only buy maybe 1-2 PPVs every 1-3 years - they don't buy for the under card, and in most cases probably don't know any of the fighters anyway.
