Rios has taken too much punishment in his career. I imagine that Ruslan is fresher, hits just as hard, is just as relentless, and probably hungrier. Although Ruslan appears to have paper skin, so I can see Rios stopping him on cuts.

But I ch-ch-choose Ruslan by TKO.

I get the feeling that both Provodnikov and Rios will be severely punch drunk by the time they retire.

Provodnikov hasn't faced many big punchers. He's far fresher than Rios.

Well still. Provodnikov's not known for his defense either.

It'll be a good one. I think Provodnikov would force a corner stoppage. Don't think either guy puts the other down, but Rios (and Provodnikov) get busted up a lot.

Great fight, I back Provo. Neither can box particularly well, I just think Provo is a little 'harder'

Should Rios face Provodnikov, he would learn what it is to get knocked out. He would not be able to cope with Provod's pressure and though he would have his time of success early in the fight, Provod would drop him, than badly wobble and referee would stop the beating.

Rios blocks a lot of punches with his gloves. Provo blocks every punch w his face. No one has been able to go toe to toe w bam bam yet. Bam bam is twice the inside fighter.

Yes, Rios is definitely more polished on the inside than most fighters but Provodnikov punches harder than anyone he has faced...including Manny. Provodnikov is fresher and hungrier, at this point in their respective careers. I'd take him.

Rios has underrated skills, but I still don't think his ability to in-fight ,and make his opponent fight his fight, would be enough against this guy. Provo beats him re****ed in a FOTY candidate.
