    ...in that was either scheduled and fell through to never be re-matched or never even materialized between two contemporaries?


    for me it was Tony Ayala Jr. vs Roberto Duran

    In 1996- Morrison vs Tyson at that time would have been the highest grossing dollar fight in history, yes White skin draws a LOT of money, as ****ey would confirm..

    Then Morrison tested positive for the virus that would eventually kill him, and it all goes out the window...

    Tyson goes on to blast out Seldon in a fight that screams fix, and Morrison's career is done...:-(

    I even bought a ticket for that one, only to be refunded automatically when it was cancelled. Guzman - what a wasted talent!

    Also Saad Muhammad v. Michael Spinks would have been good. Saad deserved a title unification fight as such a long standing champion.
