    who dat?

Ricardo Mayorga comes to mind. Honestly looked like the guy never learned to box, but simply came in throwing bombs. Not bad for a LMW and unified WW champion.

Nah, he could actually box a little. (Forrest rematch, Mosley)

    He just preferred to rumble.

Carl Froch has limited technique and natural ability but has achieved a great deal with the tools he has

Freddie Mills. A champion with no technique. All heart, toughness, and athleticism. It's pretty ridiculous that a guy without the grace of a common street fighter could become light heavyweight champion of the world. Watch the tape of Joey Maxim, a fighter who was long on technique, just having his way with him.

Eh? Why? Both could box well technically; Calzaghe could punch a bit, too.

I always thought Kirkland Laing has great success with a poor technique. Perhaps 'poor' is unfair though, more 'unorthodox'.
