Bermane Stiverne vs. Deontay Wilder speculation & discussion

Holy ****, I hope not. I was thinking about having people over to watch the fight. If the main event is a blatant fix after what appears to be a weak undercard with Jr. feathers likely waltzing around for 48 minutes, it's not going to convert any casuals.

 

Well, we can see the KO and judge for ourself if it was legit. The was an elimination match for Wilder, who has yet to beat a top 30 guy. Scott was going no where, so if enough money was offered, it could have been a dive. Wilder will make a ton in the title fight.

Wilder is a mild favorite right now. If he suddenly becomes a strong favorite after a good amount of money is up, AND Stiverne goes down a bit fishy, the talk of a fix will get much louder.

 

Nobody WANTS to think the sport we invest our time and passion in to is crooked, but if there's anything boxing history has taught me, it's that what's actually happens is typically worse than what fans think could never happen.

 

I say Stiverne wins. But I'm skeptic to bet for this fight because of Don King, wouldn't be suprised if its fixed. Stiverne is paid to take a dive, then King promotes super fight between Wilder-Klitschko.
