With a list of wins like that, who cares? It's better than May's AND Pac's PUT TOGETHER!

    Quality not Quantity.

If he had Curry and Pryor on there it'd have been the best resume of the last 35-50 years. It's probably is as it stands.

He's certainly one of the most talented fighters to lace them up, in my opinion. He falls short in longevity and the amount of great fighters he beat compared to other greats in earlier eras, but for sheer ability he has to rate highly.

He says other, and it reads like they were nobodies.

If he'd have just fought those four guys and then retired at 4-0, it would be better than most people's resumes.

who do u think are better than them? leonard looks way better than robinson on film, and he beat hagler, duran, and hearns who IMO are much more skilled and advanced compared to jake lamotta, kid gavilan, and henry armstrong

I didn't say those guys were nobodies. They're obviously all great fighters. But who else of note did he fight?

And nobody answered my question of who Leonard cherry-picked.

Not even the best fighter named Sugar Ray.

And listing Roy Jones as the GOAT is laughable.

I laughed because of the way it reads.

What he did was more than enough.

Lot's of great fighters have never beaten fellow ATG's while they were in their prime.

    Floyd being a prime example.

Lots of guys would love to have the four wins that Ray had, on their own resume.

He was never retired. He only chose not to fight during this turbulent time when the competition became too intense. So he laid back, and came in and out of boxing

being retired means you either CANNOT fight or you never fight again, like say Carlos Monzon, Marciano

once he came out to fight Howard, it proved his retirement was nothing more than a sham which surprisingly, many people actually buy into

no, not as it stands. Since he can never have Pryor or Curry, he shouldve at least taken on Nunn, revered at the time coming off his tko of WBA champ Kalambay, but he couldnt even muster that

Instead, he opts for broken down & battered retreads Duran, Hearns, and LALONDE! (WTH was Lalonde?)

that's really weak becuz those are fights no one really wants to watch

the public wants young, lean N fierce fighting machines, not some used up bag showing a paunch

young N lean, like Terry Norris. too bad he cant get that on his resume

    Floyd's never lost

Kalule is not a bad one. Undefeated champ one division above. Not an ATG, but a good scalp.

Other than that he beat most of the ranked WWs around in the late 70's and early 80's. Someone once claimed that he beat more ranked WWs than Duran beat ranked LWs. Don't know if that's true, though. Sounds a bit far fetched.

And he always looked convincing against the average contender types.

If he cherry picked anyone it was probably Lalonde. Considering Lalonde's advantages in youth and size it was an unusually dangerous cherry pick, though.

Great point MM ! SRL DID in fact beat Hearns by stoppage. A major win at the time so I don`t quite see Hearns having his # ... Agreed,3-1-1 against that lineup, pretty damn impressive.
