Natural weight at the time. Why do you think Cotto moved up to LMW after the Pac fight? Hmm?? Why did he never move back to WW if he's so comfortable there?

Overrated fighter in a weak era

the fact he was once ranked ahead Lennox P4P is a total joke

it doesn't matter if Lennox was coming off getting KTFO, Lewis was better than Corrales could ever hope to be

One of the most dangerous opponents at the time at 130-135. His abilities didn't translate as well once he moved up in weight.

Very weak at 130 (only good wins were Manfredy and Garcia). Stronger at 135 but he split fights with Casamayor and Castillo who were good but hardly great. He's around their level. Fan favorite, all the heart, hella exciting. Not a great fighter by any stretch of the imagination.

    1-2 vs Casamayor
    0-1 vs Clottey
    1-1 vs Castillo
1-0 vs Freitas (best win on his resume)

Why would you even bring up the Clottey loss? It was at welterweight, and he was clearly over the hill by then coming off 2 losses.

Cotto has fought one fight at MW...hardly his natural weight. WW is his natural weight he just doesn't have a chance of winning a title there ny more due to it being the most competitive division in Boxing.

    Excellent point

He wasnt a demi-god boxer but had solid skills, awesome power at his natural weight and a heart of gold.

When I said MW, I meant LMW, which I clearly stated above. He has fought 6 bouts at LMW so I don't know wtf you're smoking. WW is his not natural weight, gtfo.

Big difference between LMW and MW....no needy to get so heated, but Cotto was most dominant as a WW. His best wins came from WW and he beat some very impressive names there. And the reason he doesn't move back down is one, he's too old now and most importantly when you bulk up for a higher division it is near impossible to lose that weight healthily and still preserve all your abilities.

Use your common sense. I clearly stated "why do you think he moved up to LMW after his fight with Pac". LOL @ big difference, stop acting like it's such a crime to refer to lmw, mw, or smw, as middleweight. We're on a boxing forum ffs lmao, unless you're new to boxing you should be able to figure out the obvious. He moved up after the Pac fight because he clearly was not comfortable at that weight. Also it's highly debatable that he has better wins at 154+ than welterweight. His best wins at are welter are Mosley, and Judah, at 154 Martinez, and Margarito.

ellerbe is so butthurt in all of her responses. Talking boxing with you is like arguing with a woman on her period.

Do you also bring up SRL's loss to Camacho, or Chavez's lost to Wiley when you talk about their career?

The fact you're forgetting Cotto's best win by far, Quintana at WW tells me you're not someone to talk Boxing with. The fact you think it isn't worth noting the difference between SMW and LMW tells me your basic boxing knowledge is flawed as hell too.
