Great work guys, the moderation and thread merging is really paying off!

 

Relative to the amount of hype there has been - it'll stink. Many casual and non boxing fans got lured into ordering De La Hoya vs Mayweather and thought it was a waste of time, maybe they were expecting a tough man brawl or something.

The fight will be good for the fans of both the fighters, so that it can finally put the debate on who is better to rest.

You think the fight will happen if it doesn't get made for May?
They have been negotiating for the past month and if they cannot agree, I doubt the fight will ever happen.

 

If the fight gets made, I doubt it will be a classic, but I also doubt it will be as bad as say DLH vs Floyd. My guess is that it will be a reasonably competitive, but not very dramatic fight. And as VBOX indicates, it'll be good to have some closure on the fight even if it comes a bit late.

 

I honestly can not see Pacquiao winning, Mayweather is very SLICK but Pacquiao is one of very few who have more of a chance than all that came before. It would not end anything because there will be excuses from both fans. I personally think its to late to judge them on and it answers very little whoever will win.
I will be rooting for Pac and rooting for an exciting fight :happy

 

This boxing journalist seems to know a lot more about Floyd than the average fan. He says Floyd failed 3 drug tests and paid off USADA to have it kept secret.

This guy Gabriel Montoya has been getting all sorts fo shiit for covering PEDs in boxing and exposing the lack of control in it. Boxing is a really corrupt sport...

Why because ball's in floyd's court and he would rather recycle a cotto fight than accept pac's challenge?

If ever this fight is going to get made, floyd is the only last piece of the puzzle. Pac could only do half the terms and conceeded already to most of floyd's demands.

 

Good but it all depends on floyd growing a pair. We will soon find out.

 

I agree, and I'm trying to not allow myself to get excited. But this is from a respected boxing reporter, and Dan Raphael ( I know most don't respect him), said that it's the closest it's been.

 

If the fight doesnt happen i want Manny to totally forget about Fraud and either retire or set about making a few decent fights to finish his career.
