I don't think Stiverne is or ever will be a top 5 HW.

He may move up the rankings defending that title, but chances are Wilder stops him b/c he doesnt know how to fight moving forward and somehow thinks he doesnt need to punch in the opening rds.

Wilder would be wise to fight non-punchers and/or chinny fighters during his brief title reign.

As soon as Potvetkin, Charr, Takam, Thomspon, Glaskov, Pulev, Ruiz Jr, Arreola, or Browne get a shot at Wilder, he's getting starched.

Best Wilder fights Jennings, Perez(shot), USS, Tarver(roid testing will ruin his HW title bid), Briggs(see Tarver, Perez, Chaggy) Szpilka, Chaggy(shot).

Those defenses mentioned above will go over well with the anti-E/E fans, ie nationalists/racists, while giving Wilder a decent, albeit manufactured resume before he gets starched by one of the previously mentioned fighters. :good:good:good

I will explain. Wilder got a glass jaw. Firtha wobbled him with a jab, Dustin 'Worm' Nichols knocked him down and so did Sconiers. Stiverne is one of the heaviest, if not the heaviest, hitter in the division. Wilder won't last a round.

It depends. If Stiverne steps into the ring and is wearing a scuba tank and some fins then I think it'll be Wilder, round 1, via corruption. If it's a real fight then I think Stiverne will scare Wilder in round 1 via counter. Then hunt him down and smash him to the ground in round 2.

If you fancy Wilder then that's your call, but how people are suggesting he'll actually use his 'boxing skill' is beyond me - I'm yet to see it!

Wilder's defense isn't as bad as some of you think. Wilder actually has very fast feet when he moves backwards away from shots, it just doesn't look fast because he is so tall. Wilder has also shown the ability to control range, clinch, and spin his opponents. But his foot speed is his best defense.

Anyone else notice the odds for Wilder have shortened significantly? Is the fix in? I want to back Steven knockout in rounds 1-6 at odds of just under 4 to 1 but do wonder if Stiverne and King would throw the fight? Surely the payoff of future fights is worth far more than anyone would invest in Wilder becoming champ?

If I had to guess Stiverne vs Wlad would net Stiverne $5 million..tops. Stiverne is old and after Wlad chews him up and spits him out he might not fight again. Where as Wilder is being billed as the next american heavyweight champ and thats apparently worth a lot so if you wanna put your tinfoil hat on I guess the fix could be in lol.
