I don't like to admit it, but I don't think Ive ever been so 'meh' about boxing then I am at the moment. I love the sport, its one of my biggest passions.... but really, its losing a lot of its luster to me due to the insane fracturing going on within the sport, adding Haymon Boxing and Roc Nation to the list.... it wouldn't be a problem if there weren't bridges burnt between half the groups, and the other half content to do in house fights year in and year out. Underline all of that with an era of fighters who go beyond the understandable amount of doing whats best for them financially but straight up shamelessly eager at taking the road of least resistance. And with the sports most powerful advisor having seemingly no interest in making the best fights he can make, there seems no reason to think this trend wont continue. Add on to all of this the numerous blatant corruption, the disgrace of the sanctioning bodies, and a few of my favorite division running slightly dry at the moment of fighters Im excited about (probably one of the main reasons), I have to say this is an all time low as a boxing fan, to me personally.

I have argued time and time again against other fans who have been down on the sport, I understand it has its ups and its downs.... but idk.... this one just feels different to me.

I hope 2015 restores my excitement though. I just don't have any reason to believe that it will.
