So nobody with a good chin has ever backed up from somebody without a ton of KO power? :think

Ever heard of well-timed, accurate counters? Pac sure has. They bugged him to no end four times against the same opponent and ultimately got him KTFO.

...and yet someone who specializes in those even more than JMM does, won't have success with them?

jmm is a attacking counter puncher mayweather is not jmm was willing to go to the gates of hell with pac granted it took him 4 fights before landing a freak shot mayweather will not go to the gates of hell with pac that i know for sure.

jmm fights fire with fire while he counter punches mayweather holds back which will alow pac time to fire

Mr. Rafael just updated his tweet to inform us that HBO and Showtime will be meeting today to discuss the May/Paq PPV joint venture.

We are so very, very, close....let hang in there.

You just said it yourself. Marquez gave Pacquiao those opportunities by going through the "gates of hell" (Wtf lol), Mayweather won't. Mayweather can also do something Marquez can't: fight at range. He's quicker, smarter, and bigger than Marquez. And don't try to discredit a possible Mayweather victory by saying he'll run. that's what haters do.

And don't forget, Marquez arguably beat Pacquiao in all of those fights. Take the first fight for example, a draw. Pacquiao scored 2 or 3 knockdowns yet it was only a draw. That means Marquez outboxed Pacquiao for more rounds but due to the point deductions, he didn't get the victory. Fight #2, Pac gets the decision but some still feel Marquez won. Fight #3, Marquez gets robbed. Fight #4, Marquez finally knocks him out. So you can argue that Marquez never did this or that but he did do one thing: beat Pacquiao decisively. :deal

So argue all you want about how Marquez took a beating, because fact is, he was basically beating Pacquiao at his own game.
