If I remember correctly, Andys name was linked to PQ in the recent past. Was it approx. last May? Anyway its possible that a lot of the groundwork might have been already done as regards negotiations between Lee and Quillin. Obviously Andy might have a stronger hand this time as he is the one holding the belt this time around. Of all the 'big names' Andy has been linked to over the last few years, (most of them ludicrously out of Andys league) Quillin is the one guy Andy really actually would have a realistic chance against. So if the fight can be made then Im all for it.

Is it just me or are we missing a few posters on here.....for example it's not like Fra to fail to check in at least once in a day...??? How do you file a "missing poster" notice...????
What a difference a month makes,to think that you would be saying that andy would have a chance against quillin, you must be coming around, next month we will put you in charge of drinks for andys upcoming fight in new york, and the month after we will book flights to the big one,he must be some man this andy lee fella to have such a positive effect on you:happythumbsup:happy
When are Joe Ward and David Oliver Joyce fighting in the APB again? I know its sometime in Jan but when?
In fairness the second semi finals at 60 and 64 are very hard to call,I based my predictions,(bates and Hickey)on not been very impressed with young Cully since he stepped out of yout class,Just looks a bit frail for the weight yet but great potential and i see bates as an underrated fighter in Ireland, Secondly i heard whilst Moylette looked very good last week Hickey looked outstanding,Toss of a coin there, The flyweight you went for Metcalf over last years finalist Courtney,Any particular reason why?
Andy Lee to fight Peter 'Kid Chocolate' Quillin on April 11? - http://www.irish-boxing.com/andy-lee-fight-peter-kid-chocolate-quillin-april-11/
Heres my picks for Seniors seen as a lot of my earlier picks had lads who arnt even entered. 49 Irvine 52 Casey 56 Walker 60 McComb 64 Moylette 69 Nolan 75 O'Reilly 81 Blaney 91 O'Neill 91+ Barron (Darkhorse, ive been very impressed any time ive seen him)
Just think - if Andy gets past PQ he could be facing Nick Blackwell...looks like BJS is fighting Nick again...would love to see Andy v Nick! (That's assuming the announcement claimed to be from the bbboc is indeed genuine...I must admit my doubt-ometer went up into the red .high risk, low reward fight for BJS, very surprising if true...)
I'm not strong on the Metcalf pick but I saw him against Hughie Myers and Wee Paddy a few years ago and liked the look of him. Oh Moylette-Hickey is always 50-50 but I know Ray has worked hard and is flying fit.
