I was just thinking if this fight as expected gets announced which channel will show the fight? The past few years Box Nation have showed both Manny and Mayweather's fights. I can't imagine Sky allowing box nation to win the right to show the biggest fight in years. What do you think

Wont it be on Sky box office? Only way in which they will make any decent money in the UK. Sky have so much more money than Boxnation anyway so if I comes down to a bid then Sky would win easy

Yes that's what I meant. Sky box office will surely want to out bid Box Nation for this fight

suppose sky can market it, I was thinking on the lines of brazil vs argentina in the copa America or whatever its called, or india vs aussies in cricket world cup final, nz vs sa in rugby etc, all big in their respective sports, but no1 really cares because England aren't directly involved.

this may be different, but I doubt many people watched the latest pac fight so I'm not convinced just yet.

suppose 250k (apparently) bought the cleverly bellew fight so an equal number can be persuaded into buying mayweather vs pac.

They'll have a standard matchroom card as ppv, maybe a name fighter on it and have the mayweather pacquiao on after that, then again are mayweather fights on boxnation done on a fight by fight basis?

I think it will be a PPV on sky box office, but then again they will be chancing their luck with too many PPV boxing events, especially since miss-matchroom boxing look to be trying to bring back PPV for domestic dross, they could kill off PPV again by taking liberties like the last 'card'

Yes that's what I'm thinking. Sky will market this better much much better than Box Nation and one of the reasons is because of Sky Sports News. They will go all out with the promotion.
