I'm rooting for Wilder. He's getting a lot of hate, I can't hate the guy, I don't see what's so despicable about him that he's turned into such a hated dude here. He's entertaining and goes for the KO.

I have heard the rumours that his nickname, The Golden Boy, came from the expensive vitamin supplements that his family used to give him, because he grew up pretty upper class, and he used to have that B-vitamin kind of urine that glows gold and he would beat kids up on the playground and wee on them and say "Call me the GOLDEN BOY!" or something like that, making them look at his pee. Crazy stuff. But that's what I hear.

Edit: Nope, sorry, wrong thing. Wilder's nickname comes from Joe Louis or winning a bronze medal at the Olympics. Be pretty messed up if he had bronze pee though.

The only thing that will see Stiverne winning this fight, is that he might punch Wilder in the mouth before he gets to taste any of Wilders bombs.

Stylewise its a big risk being a counter puncher vs a heavy hitter with all the genetics on his side. Aareola was a come forward fighter who was willing to trade. Wilder aint that kind of dumb, to be walking into a hard hitting counter punchers setups.

I can see Wilder fetting hit due to his getting off balance an awful lot due to his hasty gung ho way of attacking from time to time. Thats all the cahnce Stiverne has.

I like stiverne. I just dont like his style in this matchup.

Wilder seems to be the harder puncher, while having the weaker jaw

Both have a war on there hands.

There's always the domestic abuse thing that happened a bit ago to hate him for.

Even if Atlas picked Stiverne via brutal KO1 - a far more likely outcome IMO - things weren't looking too good for the US heavyweight picture in any case.

The buzz is gone a bit now we already know the outcome...
Atlas picked Wilder by KO1, so the belt stays in Canada and under King's control.

I did the same at 11/8. I've made the bet based on Wilder's chin and Stiverne's better experience. Still not guaranteed though, it's an intriguing fight with this great air of potential about Wilder. Someones definitely getting knocked out!
