That's it, if he has the one of the best jaws in boxing plus his punching power he can become another Tyson. But at this point, I don't think Wilder has even an average chin. Exciting to watch given the current circumstances.

Wilder only little bit heavier than Nobuhiro Ishida. That funny thought.

If he loses, I don't think his weight will be the reason. The reason will be skills, chin and experience against good opposition. I also don't think being hyped up is a problem, that works for some people.

He doesn't have to avoid the shots if he takes the other guy out first. He could also adopt a Wlad-like mentality if his chin really is bad. But we have no real idea at this point. Him getting stopped in the amateurs means nothing.

The main thing here are his nerves...Hunter picked it up...guy is nervous as f*ck! Stiverne probably is also but not as much...

getting into that ring bieng totally calm and focussed is a skill in itself.

Keep opponents out of punching range using reach. Clinch when they get in close. Apparently you can be quite a successful HW that way even if you don't have a great chin.

If wilder had a decent jab, id make him favourite. but he only fakes the jab, he dont use it as a weapon. so im not impressed.

Do what Khan does now? With good coaching hes learnt to really limit theats to his ****py chin. Took a while and Wilders guna be hitting the deck in embarrasing fashion a few times before it sinks in just like it did with Amir.

Or he may just crumble and lose a big load of motivation and just disappear from the higher rankings altogether.

Yes he's looked nervous to me as well. When you've been as protected as he has been and you finally face a live opponent you're going to be nervous. He knows this is a big jump up in class, question is how do the nerves effect him, does he crumble or does it focus him to reach another level.

if his power is the real deal he will go far despite his supposed fragile chin but i just don't think he has the skills to dominate the HW division Wlad has a lot of tools to his game wilder could be another khan, like khans speed gets him through some tough fights with his advantage but its not enough to be an elite

I fixed fight? What would be the rationale for this? Who would benefit?

Wilder was out weighed by Malik Scott in there fight. He has 18 inch thighs compared to Stivernes 27 inches, he is going to be snapped like a twig. I have backed Stiverne quite heavily for the knockout in under 6, I would put more on but I am worried about the fix, especially after Wilders odds shortened. The more I see however, the more I think there is more in it for the winner than it would be worth taking a dive. I would also say Wilder is probably the least talented, over hyped fighter to ever get $2 million, and it this respect his team have done fantastic and I do think they know this is the end of the line for him with a very slim chance of some mega pay days.

Either way,I hope the winner fights Fury before Wlad. The division needs entertaining and competitive fights, neither of which Wlad can deliver.
