I will be shocked if it even makes it into the 4th. However, if Wilder actually starts out smart and tries that jab that Lennox taught him about, it should go a little longer. I wouldn't expect Wilder to have the mental composure to stick to a plan like that for long though, it's only a matter of time until he does something stupid. He could also get lazy with his jab, and we saw what Stiverne does to lazy jabs in the Arreola and David Price bouts.

experience the great teacher. However how much can a tomato can teach in 2 rounds. That will be wilder undoing.

Can't see it going the distance, Wilder will most likely get the stoppage by the 8th round. But If he gets hit on this supposed glass jaw, that lanky frame of his will be jittering all over the place. Should be a good match up and Fury would make light work of whoever wins.

it depends. if stiverne starts like usually, waiting and checking out, then he will get koed in the 5 or 6. if he comes out aggressive (i think he will do this, he said it himself) then he will take wilder out in the first 3 rounds.

They put Wilder in with tomato cans so I wouldn't get shattered.

Well, that's over. I'm gonna just go to pieces tonight.:hi:

Ive never been so stumped on a fight in years. I can't envision the victor.

Both have the ability to pan each other out in different ways. Im glad the wait is over now and hope there is no suspicious out come.

And what was Wilder's prayer that was an insult to God according to Stiverne..
It seemed to have him riled up.

I think Deontay wins this easily. The limited skills he has are more than enough to dispose of the overrated Stiverne.

Bermane has fought only two decent opponents: one is an out-of-shape journeyman whose greatest achievement lies in getting used as a punching bag by Vitali Klitschko in one of his uncompetitive (paper-)title defenses. The other was 41-year-old shot journeyman Ray Austin who was outpointing Stiverne for 7 rounds and then got caught with a hard shot behind the head. Neither opponent had ever won a title. Wilder KOed former title-holder Sergei Liakhovich in one round: the same guy who recently took prospect Andy Ruiz the distance.

So many fans think that since Wilder knocks everyone out early, he sucks. They assume that he can't box, can't go the distance, has no heart, etc., just because he commits the unforgivable sin of annihilating his opponents.

Wilder could win this fight with one hand (the jab) from a distance, and get either a decision or a late KO like Fury recently did against Chisora. Make no mistake, even if Wilder gets outboxed over 12 rounds, the belt will be his, because he is an Al Haymon fighter. Betting on Stiverne to win on points is ludicrous.

Deontay may not have the ring IQ of Fury, but Stiverne is not as good as Chisora, so a distance fight could very well be on the cards (no pun intended). Bermane has possibly the slowest legs in boxing pound for pound. He looks like he’s walking through a swamp, and unfortunately for him he needs to get inside on Wilder, who has a reach advantage over him.

Wilder has more speed, more power, and most importantly he is a fast starter in there against Stiverne who is notoriously a slow starter. How on Earth can Bermane win?

Wilder may not have the best chin in the business, but it won’t matter because Bermane won’t be able to land a decent punch on him. Wilder saw the Arreola-Stiverne fights and knows about the counterpunch danger, so he’ll be keeping a safe distance for the whole fight, which may go to the judges for this reason.

If all this weren’t enough, Deontay has also got into Bermane’s head. At the press conference, Stiverne was acting like Chad Dawson acted in the pre-fight leading up to getting KOed by Adonis Stevenson, and just like Vernon Forrest acted before both of the Mayorga losses.

The best bet is just Wilder to win, because it’s a foregone conclusion. Stiverne was hurt badly by feather-fisted journeyman Demetrius King, so what will happen against Wilder, who is possibly the hardest-hitting boxer in the world? One thing we can be sure of is that Wilder will land on Stiverne, because everyone lands on Stiverne, even cab drivers. I don’t think Bermane lands one punch on Wilder.:deal
