Bermane Stiverne vs. Deontay Wilder speculation & discussion

Wilder could win this fight with one hand (the jab) from a distance, and get either a decision or a late KO like Fury recently did against Chisora. Make no mistake, even if Wilder gets outboxed over 12 rounds, the belt will be his, because he is an Al Haymon fighter. Betting on Stiverne to win on points is ludicrous.

Deontay may not have the ring IQ of Fury, but Stiverne is not as good as Chisora, so a distance fight could very well be on the cards (no pun intended). Bermane has possibly the slowest legs in boxing pound for pound. He looks like hes walking through a swamp, and unfortunately for him he needs to get inside on Wilder, who has a reach advantage over him.

Wilder has more speed, more power, and most importantly he is a fast starter in there against Stiverne who is notoriously a slow starter. How on Earth can Bermane win?

Wilder may not have the best chin in the business, but it wont matter because Bermane wont be able to land a decent punch on him. Wilder saw the Arreola-Stiverne fights and knows about the counterpunch danger, so hell be keeping a safe distance for the whole fight, which may go to the judges for this reason.

If all this werent enough, Deontay has also got into Bermanes head. At the press conference, Stiverne was acting like Chad Dawson acted in the pre-fight leading up to getting KOed by Adonis Stevenson, and just like Vernon Forrest acted before both of the Mayorga losses.

The best bet is just Wilder to win, because its a foregone conclusion. Stiverne was hurt badly by feather-fisted journeyman Demetrius King, so what will happen against Wilder, who is possibly the hardest-hitting boxer in the world? One thing we can be sure of is that Wilder will land on Stiverne, because everyone lands on Stiverne, even cab drivers. I dont think Bermane lands one punch on Wilder.:deal

Chisora and Bermaine are to different types of fighters style wise plus Wilder is a one handed fighter he does not use his height and has no jab he just paws with it as a range finder when stiverne takes away his right hand he will become wild and Bermaine will counter him and KO him In 4 to 6 rounds.

Anyone could annihilate the absolute bums Wilder has fought. Liakhovich was beyond washed up, and even in his prime, he was a B-level fighter.

Wilder fought journeyman Jason Gavern in his 2nd to last fight. And his last fight was VERY questionable.

Wilder's jab sucks. I don't know why you think it will be a factor.

Chisora and Stiverne aren't the same kind of fighter. Chisora is a pressure fighter, while Stiverne is a counter-puncher.

Wilder's reach advantage is meaningless, because he doesn't use his reach. He can't fight tall for ****.

Wilder was KO'd in the amateurs, never a good sign for a fighter's chin. He also got floored by 17-20 Harold Sconiers, and morbidly obese Dustin Nichols.

For a guy with "Sheer ****ysis" under his name, your ****ysis for this fight sucks.

Yeah Bermane should most certainly win this fight, shennanigans aside............

No idea why ppl can't start a Stiverene hype train just like a Wilder hype train.

Bermane has real, real power...better skills than Wilder, better defense.

I like him vs Wlad, much more than Wilder vs Wlad.

Mind you I would still definitely pick Wlad over everybody

Stiverne's manager went to see him later last night and said that Bermane was actually praying calmly. Apparently Stiverne told his manager he was praying God hoping that Wilder will not die from the beating he will get.

Bermane says that he can 100% see in Wilder's eyes that he has absolutely no idea what he's getting into, that he's not truly ready and focused for his final exam.

We will soon find out....
