He went from being a solid smart decently athletic for his frame strong heavyweight with a good punch into a slightly more flabby not as much muscle slow dumb plodding derek chisora type heavyweight

He looked like the version that fought shot Ray Austin and made him look like prime Larry Holmes.

Seems like he just can't fight a tall guy with a decent jab.

Styles make fights again. Stiverne peek a boo guard wasn't working getting pot shot all night with Wilder jab and one two combo. Wilder did good job keeping distance, back peddling when he had to and not getting cut off. Stiverne was able to land some power shots especially to body but they seemed to lack power. Congrats to Wilder but at 219lbs I don't see him as a serious threat to 245lb Wladimir Klitschko. Wilder KO streak comes to end. Stiverne loses first title defense and 15-minutes worth of fame comes to end

He got beat by the better man, that's what happened.

Wilder put on a boxing lesson.

He is a catch and counter fighter that waits for a fighter to throw. This fight he chose to attempt to lead against someone with a significant reach and height advantage and got picked apart coming in.

He had someone who didn't play right into his hands. And when that didn't happen he fell apart.

Wilder proved has a better chin then reported
He will be knocked out if fights Wlad.
Stiverne had no strategy and made a fool of himself

Stiverne was always a plodder, with a big punch. Was bound to happen sooner or later. Didn't think Wilder was that guy to exploit it though.

Pretty much. For a group of people who are supposedly huge boxing fans, it is astonishing how little of the sweet science they understand.

His style was never going to work as long as Wilder fought disciplined.

he looked like ****, out of shape and couldn't cut off the ring. only thing he showed was he has an iron chin. but you gotta give wilder credit, had the perfect gameplan and stuck with it. wilder used his height, and he limited stiverne's counter opportunities, and stiverne didn't do himself any favors.

He does not handle that style match-up well at all. Wilder came out with an effective, stiff jab and set the tone. He took Stiverne's fight off of the table.

Well, James Toney called the fight a mismatch favoring Stiverne... Even one of his guy's corner didn't want to comit in Wilder's favor. Wilder took few bombs which could have ended the fight.

Wilder fought a good fight and won.

This has nothing to do with Wilder. I'm strictly talking about Stiverne here

I guess the weigh in didn't lie. Stiverne did indeed look like he replaced muscle with a little flab even though he weighed the same as when he fought Arreola. Dissapointing game plan and probably training from Stiverne. Probably didn't believe he would win enough.
