James Toney dksab anymore. Of course he is going to pick his friend.

As long as Wilder fought disciplined and his chin was at least average, he was going to win that fight easily. Both of those two aspects proved true.

A disciplined big will always beat the little all things equal.

Honestly that's how he's always fought before the Arreola fights where he randomly upped his volume. I figured he would have the volume gunned up for this fight but instead he shelled up too much.

Stiverne fought like he always does flat footed tight guard low work rate loading up and looking to counter. He just fought a guy with a good jab who could beat him to the punch and had an extreme reach advantage, who also could hurt him. There was nothing more he could do.

Wilder had never fought a disciplined fight before ever. Wilder had an entire career of throwing wild ass, wide looping punches vs bums. If he would of fought like that vs Stiverne, he would of got KO'd. Stiverne was counting on Wilder to fight like that but he didn't and Bermane's crude, horrible boxing skills was easy to outbox. There was no plan B at all for Stiverne.

Stiverne just didn't train as hard and the body and power and speed of his punches didn't lie. Credit to Wilder for training hard as I'm sure he did. Discredit to Stiverne for looking like Derek Chisora and not training hard or having the belief and not being smart.

Stiverne's footwork was non-existent, couldn't cut the ring off at all, he couldn't even get Wilder to change directions, all he was doing was slowly, ploddingly following him around the ropes, was making it so easy for Wilder.

From the outside there was no way he could do anything because again his feet are just too slow to overcome that reach advantage, his upperbody movement was bad too, always blocking. He was too slow and also technically he fought a bad fight as well IMO.

I'll admit that Wilder is a better fighter than I've given him credit for though, especially considering the current heavyweight landscape.

Stiverne isn't good coming foward. Like Paquiao, Devin Alexander, Ali, etc. he's just a whole lot more impressive with the other guy making the action (wow, I just put Bermaine in a sentence with Ali and Paquiao, but you get the idea).

Stivernes body was flabbier and he didn't have as much muscle as in the Arreola fights

Why Stiverne? Why did you not give yourself the best chance to win
