Yeah, I can see it going that way: Briggs, the Stiverne rematch, Ray Austin and perhaps Audley Harrison to top it all off...

No it would be a joke and do nothing for Wilder. Briggs isn't worthy of a shot at Wlad and also not worthy of a shot at Wilder.

I hope not. Wilder has a chance to shed his can crusher tag now if he wants. Even if he doesn't take on Wlad straight away there are plenty of good contenders out there to get him ready for a big unification match if he can dispatch them.

Why do you think that? Szpilka is ranked 11th by the WBC and lost last year as well.

Povetkin is the number 1 challenger and the WBC wanted to enforce Jennings as a mandatory. I wonder if they will enforce Povetkin now as mandatory, especially if there is a possibility of another huge purse bid to give the WBC a nice fat sanctioning fee.

Jennings is fighting Wlad, Perez lost last year, Fury is in line to fight Wlad and probably won't get a shot because of how he slagged off the WBC.

Glazkov and Browne could be easy opponents for Wilder. But Andy Ruiz Jr is in the WBC top 10 so a fight against a Mexican heavy could bring in a nice payday for Wilder.

Briggs isn't stepping up for anything. Now that he found out that Wladimir and his team actually considered him, he has no reason to step up and risk blowing the payday off the table for good. Wilder sure as hell won't offer what Wladimir will.

This is probably not going to happen. Briggs seems intent on one mission, and that is to beat Wladimir Klitschko.

Too dangerous of a fight for Wilder. DK won't allow it.
