Recently I was comparing the resumes of Berman Stiverne and Deontay Wilder and while I thought that Stiverne had a slight better resume than Wilder, I also saw many red flags while digging deeper into the matches and watching them, such as Stiverne v Arreola 1 and 2, Stiverne v Austin, Stiverne v King, etc.

What I saw was a very slow footed podder, who threw at times on average 10-20 punches per round against his better competition, could not fight going forward very well at all, and was a counter puncher who laid against the ropes awaiting incoming punches in order to draw people into his punching. The problem is though, that he really isn't a very good counter puncher and one very alarming aspect of his fights was to see his defense being nothing more than taking punches, sometimes 5-6 six at a time, before returning punches. Seeing Stiverne get thoroughly outboxed by the simple jab of Austin was a bit much, and keep in mind that Arreola was outboxing him as well prior to the stoppages.

Seeing this, I was going to post my thoughts and ask if anyone else has severe doubts about Stiverne, but I was away from my computer in Canada before the fight. I would favor pretty much any top 10 fighter over Stiverne now after seeing those matches, as well as Stiverne vs Wilder.

You are the god of predictions. You are always correct. Keep up the great work.

What? That was an observation of Stiverne and his previous fight. I guess trying to write something other than insults and simple sentences is out the window huh?

It had nothing to do with my prediction and more about what I saw in Stiverne. I could care less if I was right in the prediction. Keep on keeping on with the slanderous children's behavior though.

True-however,it may be more forceful if this prediction was BEFORE the fight as opposed to AFTER the fight.

It really has nothing to do with the prediction. Read: WHY I was going to change the prediction. I was talking about watching Stiverne fights prior to this match.

The prediction part is almost unimportant.

In retrospect, I pick Buster Douglas to stop Mike Tyson in Tokyo. I am changing my pick.

It's very difficult for people to understand what I was saying isn't it?

Repeat this with me, it was a comment made regarding his previous fights and why I was thinking of choosing Wilder to win. This doesn't matter though does it?

Critical thinking and the reading ability of certain people is not very high on this board apparently.

Comprehend this: You waited until after the result of the fight was known and your original pick was wrong ... then you come on here saying "trust me guys, I looked at it again and I was THINKING of changing my mind."

A: Seems like people don't believe you.

    B: Your pick was wrong.

    C: Deal with it.

    You are clearly learning disabled.

    A: Who cares.

B: I didn't have a pick at the time of the fight and was talking about reviewing Stiverne matches and then feeling like Wilder had a much better chance than I previously thought.

C: I'll deal with it, if you learn to read properly. Ok?

Secondly, do you understand that I stated that I was going to come on here and get other people's opinions of the earlier Stiverne fight and ASK them if they have the same doubts about Stiverne? In other words saying that I think something but I would like to hear other people's views, mostly because I could be wrong.

    Never mind.

The title of your thread is "Why I was going to CHANGE MY PICK."

Now you say you don't have one.

    So it comes down to:

    1. You had a pick

    2. Your pick was wrong

    3. You made a post to tell everyone that you were going to change your pick, so disregard the fact that you were wrong -- now that you know the outcome you have picked correctly.

    4. You not only changed your pick, you then changed from saying that you changed your pick to now claiming you never made a pick.

    5. Get help.

No, you really do have a very difficult time understanding words don't you?

I could've just wrote a post not mentioning that I was going to change my pick, mostly because I DIDN'T write a pick on here beforehand. Holy Christ, learn to read. What I was trying to say (if you bothered to read it thoroughly) was that I was thinking about changing my thoughts about who was going to win, and the reasons why I was thinking this prior to the fight.

It was essentially a post talking about Stiverne's previous fights and the reasons why I have recently been skeptical about his chances of staying a champion. The prediction was NOT the point of the post, at all.

I have said this several times. Would you like for me to edit it out for you to help you understand this?

This looks like a classic example of attempting to pass off "Monday morning quarterbacking" as a Nostradamus-level prediction.

    Not buying it. :-(
