Well he clearly has above average power but he wasn't able to even knock down Stiverne once and in late rounds Wilder's power is almost non existent as he was tired and gassed. Wlad can consistently put lights out on guys from all levels, from bums to elite. What you think? :bbb
He fought a guy who had never been knocked down in his entire career, and had him visibly hurt several times. You say above average power... Based on what? Not dropping a guy who has NEVER been dropped?
Quotes by OP Re: Stiverne Looking Fleshy In The Midsection Area Nothing wrong with an extra bacon on the sides Wilder looks like an anorexic baby giraffe, Stiverne is gonna put him on ice skates! Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Berman Stiverne weigh-in 219 lbs Wilder :admin 239 lbs Stiverne Damn Wilder is a cruiser, he's gonna crumble like a building once Stiverne lands This guy doesn't know **** about boxing, and he's bitter that his prediction was wrong.
Pretty much. The KO's won't continue just like Sam Peter couldn't KO anyone when he stepped up. Those punches only had Stiverne buzzed once and were the same punches that KOed all those bums he fought. Legit savage punchers can KO the better fighters they fight.
Wilder has managed to prove his power even further last night. It all well and good KO'ing a journeyman or whatever but to visibly hurt a world champion as often and as easy as he did last night shows he has freakish power.
Stiverne was blocking a lot of his shots partially with his gloves, so he was actually hurting him without hitting him flush. I'd say that's good power
He actually knocked him down once in one of the early rounds but Stiverne hold onto him and they fell together. It was a knock down alright even though it wasn't counted as one.
puvlev also was never knocked down in his career and wlad knocked him down easy and knocked him out levels to this wilder power is overrated
"Exposing" your power would be a positive thing. Exposing a LACK of power would be negative. Every single powerpunching contender through the ages has found their KO-percentage drop as soon as they stepped up competition and started facing top 20 guys. So it's likely that will happen to Wilder too.
Um no. Did you see how weary Stiverne was all night? Having a granite chin and still be that careful, that speaks of something big. He felt that power early and was gunshy for the rest of the fight. He was also dropped in the 2nd round, and fell backwards after he tried to get up. He lost his legs temporarily. Did you see the man's face after the bout? His face looked messed.
