It means a lot more than you seem to think.

Besides, you are also completely discounted what we saw in the ring last night.

I saw a guy who used that athleticism along with a stiff jab and a straight right hand to completely control a fight for 12 rounds.

A guy who had never gone past 4rds previously.

Wilder is still a bit raw in a lot of ways, but what he did in the ring was pretty damn impressive.

I swear boxing fans are some of the worst.

If a MW isn't SRR, a LHW not Roy Jones Jr and a HW not Ali or Tyson they are **** to them. It's ****ing a ridiculous standard.

Should be noted, I didn't post it on this forum.. but I thought Stiverne would stop Wilder mid-to-late in the fight due to Wilder having stamina issues and Stiverne being able to take Wilder's shots.

I was wrong. Dead wrong. I'm at least man enough to admit Wilder is better than I gave him credit for and not a childish baby who instead of admitting I was wrong gotta try and still tear someone down to prop up my own ego.

Boxing is a great sport, learn to ****ing enjoy it.

Im not bringing Wilder down, im just saying just being athletic in itself doesnt mean much.

Tony Tubbs was a career fatty, but he controversially lost to Rid**** Bowe and years later was used as a sparring partner for the Klits.

Rid**** Bowe himself was never in shape for most of his career, yet only ever lost once, to Holyfield.

..and every time I watched both of those guys.. especially Bowe.. how on raw talent was probably the best HW since Ali (imho).. I always wished the dude would get into some kind of shape.

Bowe's lack of focus, motivation, and completely disregard of getting in prime shape was his biggest downfall.

He fought a couple fights early in his career in pretty good shape around 220.. but by the time he was fighting at the top he was routinely coming in 235 to the 240's.

An in-shape 220lb Rid**** Bowe could have dominated the division for a long time.. of course he's a head case, lacked motivation.. and never truly lived up to his potential.

Comparing Wilder to "The Truth?" :patsch

If you can't see that Wilder is more talented than "The Truth", and wouldn't just "get destroyed" by this apparent make believe version of Mike Tyson you've created for yourself, I don't know what to tell you.

And I said before: I'm not even saying Wilder would beat Tyson. But it sure as heck wouldn't be a walk in the park for Mike. He'd have a serious bout on his hands. And Mike wasn't exactly known for discipline... Which version of Tyson shows up?

Tyson beat and knocked out lots of talented fighters and made it look easy. Wilder could easily be one of those victims.

And what was wrong with Truth Williams? the guy nearly beat Larry Holmes, so he wasnt just some bum.

Going 15 rounds and losing a razor thin controversial decision to Holmes isnt all that bad.

And nowhere did i bring Wilder down, im merely stating that Tyson would be the one guy who could KO Wilder in one round.

You said bum, I didn't. You've been talking with these other trolls too long who call every boxer not named "Ali" a bum.

If you can't see that Wilder is "more talented" than Williams, I don't know what to tell you.

I never mentioned the word bum anywhere.

And secondly, everyone is seen as talented and as having a great chin, until they lose and/or get knocked out.

You are comparing him to "The Tooth" ... I think you have a serious problem with evaluating talent. We'll have to agree to disagree.

And using the example of getting out-classed by a 36 year old Holmes, who would lose his next 3 fights, isn't a selling point for Williams. Williams did not almost win that fight, you're exaggerating quite a bit on that one. "razor thin controversial decision" my rear.

Wilder knocks "The Tooth" out. Just IMO.

Yeah Azzer.. either you have faulty memory or you are making **** up.

Carl Williams was a decent fighter, no he wasn't a bum.. but he also wasn't all that great. I mean ****, I think when he was KTFO by Tyson both his hands were pretty much by his sides...

Truth was talented too, like i said before, everyone is a 'talent' until some exposure sets in.

Truth has come and gone, Wilder is the new trend.

We'll come back to this in a few years and then re evaluate.

I never said Truth was great, he was good.

Wilder has ONE good performance over Bermaine Stiverne.

At this point in time, hes no better than Truth Williams.
