Stiverne was knocked out against a journeyman but Wilder couldn't hardly even hurt him, despite of throwing his hardest punches. His power is overrated, I doubt he's even in the Top 10 of the hardest hitting active heavyweights. He faced shot bums before, no wonder they went down. A hard hitting WW would them out as well. On the otherhand, he was known for a glass jaw. He proofed that his chin is ok. It's neither the best nor the worst, just a decent one. End of the story. Wilder is not a bum like his fellow countryman Bryant Jennings but he has not enough to beat the elite fighters like Wladimir or Fury. He is a good top 10 fighter though who can beat the likes of Glazkov, Solis and Thompson.
Question who has Fury beat that's not name chisora? Now you're wrong on a lot of things you say about wilder. You say wilder power is overrated? Why cause he couldnt ko Stiverne? smh. That's just a reta$ded statement because if you watch last night, if wilder power is overrated, Stiverne wouldn't be stunned couple times. Now I bet you will say a journeyman tko Stiverne but I bet you forget it was stiverne 12 or 13th fight coming in to that tko lost and stiverne before that beat fighters that had like 11 or 12 losses.
More or less, I agree with this sentiment. I think Wilders power is good, but there are definitely guys at the top level that can take his power. He also proved he isnt glass jawed. I saw him do a little chicken dance a couple times, so he isnt packing chin of pure steel - but in the Heavyweight division few people have a super chin. The point really becomes not letting a 250 pound dude hit your chin. Wilder-Pulev is a fight i'd love to see.
I guess Wilder could have got the knockout if he wanted. It was his gameplan to do 12 rounds and fight smart on the outside, so he didn't take any risks to chase KO.
For heavyweight standards I'd say his chin is closer to being glass than it is not. Stiverne didn't really land all that much especially in the first half when he was at least fresh. I can't see Wilder standing up to the firepower of some of the heavyweights out there.
