The Cobra has just tweeted a picture of gloves hanging up saying " looks good ". Hope this isnt the case as I think Carl still has afew more big fights in him. But if he wants to retire you cant blame him.

Froch won't retire until he loses, he loves the money too much. Him and Golovkin will be on some time this year.

not sure about that, he could of fought any old bum after groves and it would of sold on ppv, and made him money, instead of going on that bbc show and commentating.

hope he carries on as like his fights, but if his heart isn't 100% in it, then he should retire

He just needs to escape GGG while he can.

I've said it all along: Eddie has failed to do a good job with him.

It's just rematches and fights that Carl himself could have made if he was still a free agent.

If carl had stuck with hennessey he would never have got the bute fight and he'd be fighting in the staff room of the Nottingham lidl

I've gained a few pounds so even I can avoid GGG.

That was just flat out ambitious and in all honesty something that I bet Eddie didn't think he'd fill (which he didn't do).

Can you honestly tell me that after their first fight at the MEN that a rematch was warranted at a venue the size of Wembley? You honestly can't say yes. Nobody expected it to be that big. Nobody.

What else has Hearn done for him apart from feed him rematches and try and elbow him out the picture so he can have a young lion in there from his side? He's pushing the Degale fight like a madman at every opportunity he is interviewed.

Carl Froch's best promoter has always been George Groves.

    He has nothing to prove
He is solidly the second best super middleweight in the world.

You hoenstly think he wants to sack off his biggest earner for someone who couldn't fill a high school in Bristol last year??!?!!!

Hearn isn't ****d about degale, he was his 'hedge' in case groves won at wembley and if froch won and retired he could line up another PPV calibre main event

Nothing left to prove really, fought the best in the division and lost to only Kessler (a defeat which he obviously avenged) and Andre Ward (who IMO will retire undefeated) so no shame.

Earnt a shed load of money, profile is as big as it ever will be in UK and earnt the right to pick and choose his last 1/2 fights in any event.
