True, Wilder fought smart and did what he had to. When he was using his jab and movement Bermane had no answer. And he proved to be the much better boxer. I was just shocked at how horrible Stiverne was. He fought a simplely terrible game plan and fight.

That's because he wasn't fighting Arreola ..Its all about your dance partner and Wilder made Stiverne look like he had two left feet

I disagree. I think you guys are discrediting Wilder's win. It was a good win, give the man his credit.

meh, Wilder outboxed a limited slugger without huge KO power Stiverne never would have had a belt.

Interesting side note (at least to me) is that Bermane lives in Las Vegas. It isn't where he's from but it is now his residence. And yet he couldn't sell tickets and the majority of the fans were behind Wilder.

Hasn't he made any friends in Vegas? Did his team do nothing to drum up support -- visit Boys Clubs or do public sparring or whatever to make himself known there and get some people behind him?

Just watched the replay: pretty much every time he did try to open up and bridge the distance throwing big punches, he missed by a mile and often paid for it. I think Wilder did enough damage that Stiverne figured he'd get KTFO if he opened up and he wasn't willing to take that risk.

It was very easy to see what Stiverne was doing wrong, and it didn't have to do with being countered.

When you are the shorter, heavier, slower guy, you don't wing slow ass wide hooks at your 6'7'' opponent trying to take his head off.

Almost every time he had Wilder where he wanted him and Wilder covered up, the body was there to be took. Stiverne throws mean body shots, and he completely ignored it practically the entire night.

A stocky, heavy power puncher who cant hit the head had a 219lb skinny frame open to be took and he ignored it.

You can add completely abandoning his jab and not doing the basics of cutting the ring off to the long list of basic, basic things Stiverne completely abandoned in his quest to walk Wilder down and take his head off with one shot.

Horrible fight and horrible game plan from Stiverne.

Stiverne wants to be a counter puncher that's why. Hard to do against a 6'7 beanpole

Vitali would have knocked Stiverne out easily, then would have knocked Wilder out. Vlad wants to fight Wilder ASAP, but Wilder does not want that fight.................

Yeah, this fight said far more about Stiverne's limitations than how good Wilder is. Apparently Stiverne was sick too.

But that's Wilder for you - he excels at beating bar patrons and hosptial patients. Real live fighters at the top of his game will annihilate this fraud.:deal

You also predicted that Stiverne would be the one to annihilate Wilder. Now you qualify your next hope to vanquish Wilder with "fighters at the top of his game." Initially, you said that Wilder would be starched by the first fighter with a pulse he faced. It looks like Wilder is starting to get a bit of respect from you.

You have moved on from the anger portion in the grief response and are now in denial. Your progress is rapid and I have faith that you'll be in the acceptance phase within in a year. I'll be here for you if you need me.

Zak previously labeled Stiverne as having a glass jaw: turns out he may have the best chin in the division.

Zak and Rico have been in hiding since Wilder punked their glass jaw theory. He took solid shots from a proven heavyweight puncher. That means he doesn't have a glass jaw.

It doesn't mean he will never, ever be knocked out, but he can take a heavyweight shot as was proven.
