This fight completely and utterly depresses me.

I can't think of a worse possible fight to be made right now for the future of boxing.

Ya, ive been losing my spark for boxing due to the sports gradual decline of competitive mentality and spirit, and while I never believed the pac fight would happen, this rematch would just highlight all thats wrong with the sport in a big way, and a 'superfight' to boot.

This is what happens when Floyd's fan have become brainwashed and will eat **** if told. Thank you Mayweather and Haymon for robbing the real fans of BOTH Mayweather/Pacquiao AND Canelo/Cotto by throwing a proposition to Cotto instead of trying to make the Pacquiao fight.

Both are cowards, Floyd afraid he'd lose to Manny and Cotta afraid of Canelo.:-(

anybody feel free to check back my posts but i been a big floyd fan for years and always denied this ducking **** BUT if he goes ahead and fights cotto im done with being a fan of his its absolute ducking of the highest order if he takes cotto next because it ruined 2 fights the fans wanted

If he does once and for all it truly proves what alot have already said that he could not give a f@cking s**t for the fans and everybody should boycott him for good I hope his next PPV does under 200k I hope espinoza is out of a job by the end of may bunch of greedy scared slimy sons of b*tches all sitting in their big houses and flashy cars that greats like ali paved for them and fan paid for and they go and stick 2 fingers up at us all

buy cotto 2? id rather wipe my @ss with a stinging nettle

proves it by fighting a past prime paper champ whom he already dominated

    disgraceful indeed

The writing on the wall for this was obvious when Cotto was sandbagging the Canelo negotiations.

I've called for it being on the shortlist since Miguel beat Martinez.

Makes total sense- have a rematch over a guy you already beat, but this time, there's the "historic" angle of having the lineal Middleweight crown on the line.

    At 155. ;)

The news is a bummer, but this should surprise no one.

I'd wait until it's official before making certain comments.

I'm happy to eat crow if I'm wrong. I've had that fight written off for years.
