I get it bro! your mexican, you want to fight on May 2nd no matter what, i get what your coming from but dude your 24, your gonna have those holidays for the next 10-15 years!!!!!

Listen im a huge Canelo fan but this is ****! Cotto is waiting to see what happens with May-Pac like the rest of the world! COTTO ISNT STUIP!!!!! hes not gonna fight on May 2nd and bascially HURT?KILL BOXING AND MESS HIS MONEY UP with 2 mega fights in one day. That is not the way to go.

Not Oscar fault, he said thery'll move if May-Pac happens but Canelo all in a rush like May 2nd is next week!! trying to pressure a man in Cotto thats paid his dues fighting nothing but the best for so long and some punk kid gonna tell hurrying up in sign????

    HELL NAH!!!

PPl want to flip this and say Mayweather got something to do with this, NOT BUYING THAT ONE BIT!!

Its preety simple, Cotto is not the only one that thinks May-pac is bout to happen. 2- May 2nd isnt that close, theres time. 3 - Cotto and his team tell oscar June 6, 13th In New York for back up plan (There was no other dates announced by Golden Boy if May-Pac happen, which day it would be) SO THAT RIGHT THERE should let you know Cotto wanted the fight. Oscar never had a back up plan, like no matter what (and it looks like it now) Canelo was gonna fight May 2nd with or without Cotto.

and for the ppl that thing Cotto is scared of CANELO YOUR NUTS!! How could this man fight everyone in his era, just moved up to middle weight and fight a guy that nobody was picking him to beat, to scared of a 24 yr old who's struggled against his best 3 opponets????

    YDKSAB!

Anyhow bad move by Canelo, and could really mess up boxing for the next 6 months cause of him. the chain effect we could see could suck.

Well... in my opinion, it's also HBO putting the pressure too.

I think HBO knows that Pac vs. Mayweather co promotion with Showtime is difficult to get done, and wants Canelo to take May 2nd fast.

Cotto is doing the right thing by waiting... Canelo should also wait, I agree...

nHa i totally disagree! May-Pac is a mega fight and they would be dum to be part of it and now get a piece of that goldmine!

So HBO could care less right now about Cotto-Canelo if they get May-Pac. now dont get me wrong, Cotto-Canelo is a mega fight but we all know its over a mil buys with that fight or over 3 mil buys with may-Pac, what would you choose?? :D

Canelo acting like a little B**CH right now and im one of his biggest fans

Couldn't agree with you more on this one Buck-D. I think both Canelo and Khan are acting more like punks than half-way reasonable business men in this dangerous sport at least.

:? Yes, Canelo is firm on the May 2nd date, but he is willing to change plans if the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is getting signed. And you know damn well that aint happening bro! What might happen is Mayweather getting everybody's attention and giving everyone hope saying a Pacquiao fight might of happened, but instead he switches up and gives us a Cotto rematch. It's a safer, possibly more significant fight for the middleweight crown. I don't see how Canelo or Khan be acting like punks when Khan especially is calling Floyd out. Mayweather-Khan is a fight that should do well. Win or lose, you can't really call these young, hungry fighters punks for taking on the best there is. Broner calling out Matthysse after taking on Maidana, is he a punk too?

Canelo is a good fighter, and would make for an exciting fight. I think I speak for the majority of us, who would be a bit disappointed if it's Alverez/Cotto May 2nd and not Pac/Mayweather. It's like being told the your getting a steak, but the waitress brings you out a cheese burger instead.

Damage control is in full force!

Cotto is ducking a fighter who has 2 working wheels and is under the age of 37!

Make Canelo vs Kirkland. I don't think Kirkland is doing anything.

If it was mayweather hedging like cotto is doing, you'd be calling mayweather all kinds of coward and questioning his manhood and dragging his name through the mud.

Cpttp has done nothing but help boxing from not having 2 mega fights on 1 night because some kid says he wants to fight May 2nd no matter what. why not a mega fight in May and a mega fight in June??

Remember Cotto is the one to come up with june 6, and the 13th. its not the other way around bro. Cotto has always wanted this fight

how is Cotto ducking?? He knows Mayweather fights mexican weekends, hes wondering how Canelo doesnt want the chance to be MW champ and try to win his biggest fight yet because of one weekend!!?!?! Blows my mind and Cotto's too!! Canelo only wants a Cotto fight in May. Not April, not june, not July, THats a BI^&H Move and you and most know it.

    :huh:huh:huh

I never mentioned Khan, Broner or anybody about calling out fighters.

Damn bro read my post again. its very simple

theres still over 100 days till May 2nd, why Canelo in a rush?? Cotto is not because he wants to see if May-Pac happens then Oscar will tell punk A$$ Canelo that we have to move the date.

Basically with them so no to Cotto means they just dont give a damn.

Cotto didnt take the deal of the table, just remember that homey :good

    No, he isn't.

Alvarez is the most remunerative fight Cotto could ever have, and the one he has the most chances to win, too.

Mayweather would outbox him, again, and would generate less moneys.
Plus he would be b-side, and not the divaest diva.

And... who else is there? Golovkin? Please. Cotto has made clear that he would rater jump from a bridge. And it wouldn't make as much moneys.

Bradley? Suuuuure. Bradley. Not a cash fight by any means, and bradley could box Cotto's ears off.

Anyone else? No? Then Alvarez has all the rights to be bored by Cotto's *****ing around.
