Cotto isn't a dangerous fight for Mayweather. A guy like Khan, Thurman, Lara, Golovkin, etc. is.

Yup, it's completely and utterly pointless, like all of TWE's recent fights.

Floyd wants to retire with that zero intact. He feels like he has given the fans enough and now its time think about his health and take it easy. He will fight two more plodders and retire to the pasture.

failure of making the fights that people want to see. Because of this, it will die.

Unless, Pacquiao and Mayweather is made. This would rejuvenate the sport and give hope to fans that the fights the truly care for can be made.

Boxing is the most disappointing sport in the world thanks to the failure of making the fights that people want to see. Because of this, it will die.

I won't even bother watching this, even for free.

I'm more pumped for Froch-Chavez if this happens.

10 billion excuses was never gonna fight Pacquiao. Even if he signed the fight, he would have claimed a serious injury and the fight would have had to be cancelled

Well said. Let's not forget the corruption and match fixing that frequently clouds the business of boxing. I stopped calling it a sport a long time ago. The fact is boxing is a business, there to make money and nothing else.

If cotto may weather gets made i hope everyone boycotts the farce. I hope media will call them out and demands that no one buys it. I agree it will be the saddest thing to happen to boxing.

They can totally do it, in fact I expect it since both Cotto and Floyd aren't natural middleweights.
WBC would get huge sanctioning fees from this fight, they will approve it.

if this will get signed, i hope they make canelo vs pac on the same date to see who gets more ppv then will result in both winners fighting afterwards.

Then they just have Canelo-GGG fight for the vacant strap when it inevitably gets dropped.

    Win/win for the WBC.

    A couple things.

    1. Floyd isn't fighting Cotto

    2. It's sad because when it looked like Floyd was gonna fight Khan, Stephen A. Smith came on ESPN and said to boycott that fight. And the only fights he wanted to see were Mayweather vs Pacquiao or a rematch against Canelo or Cotto

Floyd got ****ed off at S.A.S. but it looks it's possible that he thinks what Smith was saying is was the majority of boxing fans believe.
