Rewatched Danny Garcia vs Lucas Martin Matthysse

I had Garcia by 2 or 3 rounds. The KD was bogus and the eye injury did effect the fight in my opinion. Fair decision but a rematch is warranted.

 

Wanted Lucas to win, had 110 on him knocking Garcia out. Scored it 115-112 to Garcia I think. Would of had it 114-114 without the knockdown.

Extremely good fight and definitely warrants a rematch, Lucas was getting into a rhythm before Garcia shut his eye, who knows what will happen in the rematch, neither have looked as good as they did in that fight since then.

 

Garcia won the fight fair and square. Sad to think this may have been the last we see of these guys at their best…both have really fallen off since then. With Lucas it's probably from getting on the wrong side of 30 now.

Garcia has been beaten by Herrera handily and Matthyse has gone life and death with Molina for F'sake.

I think a rematch could even be more entertaining than the first - and the first was a good fight. Mattyhsse will be coming for the kill and Garcia looking for the big counter.

 

Watch it again with your eyes open this time...danny beat him smoothly

 

wasn't 50/50 was around 60 to 65/40 to 35 in favor of Lucas, still most people still shocked that Mathysse lost that fight and more clearly that the questionable defeats on the hands of Judah and Alexander.

 

Was a good, close fight. Definitely rematch worthy.

 

Pretty sure Lucas was at least 3-1, that would be 75-25.

 

People get slaughtered for holding. Danny for some reason got a pass on this as a great gameplan to stop mathysse??

 

People get slaughtered for holding when it creates a bore for action. If you thought that fight was boring then uh...yeah, not sure what to tell you other than you probably don't really like boxing.

 

Danny agrees with you, which is why he and Angel ducked the rematch.
