    :yep

  3. people keep saying he just has Manny's number. Well duh, if you are better than someone, you have their number.

There is a connotation that although Marquez aruably beat Pac more than Pac beat him, Pac is still the better fighter overall, not just head to head.

I think that's bs, if you can beat the **** out of someone and knock them the **** out, and also outbox them, you are the better fighter.

It's good to see logical boxing fans that see Manny as the greater fighter even in his recent defeat from his greatest adversary. :yep

This is a silly question. Without Manny, JMM has only a decent record. Without JMM, Pacman's record is still extremely impressive (Mosley, Cotto, Delahoya, MAB x2, Morales x3, etc.)

Just think Willie Pep vs. Sandy Sadler. Both killers in the FW division, but who's name is immortalized? The same with Manny and Juan. Juan needed Manny and desperately chased him for years. JMM skills are no joke and he will always be remembered as Pac's nemesis just as Sadler was to Pep, or Frazier to Ali.

Fighting each other is what elevates fighters to the highest regards and for that we all owe JMM and Pacquiao a ton of respect for risking health and reputation time and time again. But alas Pacman has been mentioned along with greats like Armstrong. When has anyone considered Juan in the category?

Jist: H2H (imo) Juan > Pac - KTFO opponent trumps all other outcomes
ATG Pac > Juan - resume and style speak for themselves

JMM may have had a great career and he will definitely be seen as an ATG. His KO win is still a great finish to one of the best boxing rivalries in recent history. But at the end of the day Manny's legacy, accomplishments, and impact to the sport will always far outweigh JMM's career. :yep:

I would remember Marquez as a Pacquiao specialist and a great boxer but Manny has the edge resume wise.

The thing about that 4th fight, it was brutal. There was some back and forth but for the most part Pac was kicking the **** out of JMM up until he ran into that right hand. I thought Juan had maybe one more round before he got knocked out himself,

    Disclaimer: fan of both fighters

Simple Take JMM off Manny resume and you still have a great resume...not so much the other way around.

KO in 6 lying there like a dead fish.
That is what I remember the most.
    Great knockout.
I would say that speaks for itself in who is the greater fighter.
