Because he clearly doesnt have his best interests at heart, His friendship and loyalty to froch is staggering

if it was anyone else Hearn would be kicking up a fuss, wanting them stripped etc

DeGale better get one of the most prestigious titles like he deserves

He wasn't getting greatest fights under mock ether don't think he's a big ticket seller or crowd puller if he hadn't fought groves wher would he be .guys got talent but comes across as a bit of a c ock at times aswell

If he would have had assurances from Mick that he'd have got a shot at Bika last summer then yes.

It's pretty clear that Froch isn't going to vacate so where does he go? I don't think Groves' team want anything to do with DeGale anymore and it's not like he's a massive star in America.

it's more to do with money than friendship or loyalty.

Hearn has the money fighter in that division who is near the end, has the likes of fielding and callum smith for the future so degale is someone who is ready now, plus he was a hedge for eddie if froch lost the second fight with groves

Hes mates with Froch so he will always look out for him. He isn't exactly not doing anything for Degale he has put him in the position and just said to Froch do what you want. He hasn't neglected Degale in that he hasn't done anything for him and he has done much more than any other promoter did and his name value has at least doubled

Andre Ward is the man and money man in the division
IMO Carl should beg Andre for a second fight,he did so with Kessler why not Ward?

Ward has Froch beat mentally. Don't know if you watched his interview on bt sport, but Froch said ward beats him on points and he isn't interested in it. If you go in thinking your going to lose then you probably will.

How's he the money man in division, has not fought for in excess of 2 years I think, and when he did, he got smaller crowds and wage packets than Froch?

Because of the size of the American market and the potential he has to cross over. The deal with Jay z will propel Ward into the major money - he is already being marketed towards the hip hop/celebrity route which is a another revenue stream/fan base to tap into as well as his already established reputation as the best with hardcore boxing fAns.

moog who do you think got paid more when they fought?
Carl is a great fighter but Andre is the man in the division, I even think he'd school GGG if he moved up to SMW
The reason he not fought is because of contractual issues, let's be honest there not queuing up to fight him are they #classact

Ruined his momentum unfortunately. And Degale has never had any proper momentum. He would've fought for a world title and maybe be champion now if it wasn't for the protection of Froch

who do you think would get paid more if they fought in the summer? if ward were the money man they would be queuing up to fight him. you've disproven your own argument there.

ward may cross over, but that won't be immediate and you can't pretend the last 3 years haven't happened. as it stands, right now, not 3 years ago nor in some notional future, froch is the smw draw.

He's boring as hell to watch, doesn't have the personality to draw fans and him being as religious and a decent human being means there won't be the controversy as with the likes of broner or floyd - just because jay-z is his promoter now means he becomes a taller mayweather, will still be difficult to get other promoters working with them (esp anyone with haymon)

As for ward being the money fight, when has he ever fought in front of more than 10k, or sold the ppv buys that froch has?

Simple fact is that as good as some guys are they will never be crossover stars and earn the money their talent deserves, and nobody will fight them as the money won't be worthwhile for a near certain loss, just like with the likes of rigo and golovkin
